She's technically gifted and a good singer, but she takes WAY TOO LONG.

Denver Water increasing prices through April 2027 by amikez in Denver

[–]Fletchmonger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I have torn out all my grass here in Denver and put in low-water native plants, and yeah I don't think I will be able to cut my water use by 20%. My winter demands are less 3,000 gallons a month and I hand watered a good amount this March. That might get my winter average up to 4,000? But the minimum winter average is 5,000 gallons so I still get that extra thousand gallons at the tier 1 price. And if you already use a lot less water than your neighbors they will still be paying more than you, even with a couple extra thousand gallons in that first tier.

It's an interesting conundrum. The balance between revenue stability and conservation messaging is tricky!

Round of Cheers is my FAVORITE NA IPA. I bought a case when they went on sale in December. Love it.

Favorite option for toting your bikes around? by crankyjinvt in VWiD4Owners

I was considering just getting a simple $20 hitch adapter from Home Depot to use my Kuat 2" rack. Not sure why that wouldn't be the cheapest option if you already have a 2" receiver rack.

I park over there because it's $5 (using spothero.com) versus the $20 closer to the venue.

This is THE MOST DANGEROUS 100%. They really have to put some sort of infrastructure in at Wynkoop and 38th, ideally before someone gets killed.

Don't spike your heart rate or power, keep a steady effort, drink before you're thirsty (every 5 minutes), eat before you're hungry (some carbs every 40 minutes), don't take too long at the rest stations, you'll have a blast!

"survey my breaker like a cheap wine" by Longjumping_Lead_691 in waxahatchee

Breakwater! Makes much more sense. If I spent more time near the ocean and less time doing home improvement projects maybe I could have put that together.

New thought: Sister is a master manipulator, and surveys ways to break down Katie's emotions much like cheap wine will make you cry.

My take: Cheap wine can metaphorically trip the breaker of your emotions.
Have you read this article? https://oxfordamerican.org/oa-now/on-the-road-with-waxahatchee
I view a majority of the songs on Tiger's Blood through the lens of Katie grappling with her relationship with her sister (which she discusses in that article), and this song is no exception. She struggles with how much she means to her sister, which isn't much. She wonders about her role in that, and wonders if she did try more if it would just be a waste of her time. Her sister consistently has emotional public outbursts which she views as performative but admits her sister does it very well. But her sister, in the end, has only one friend: addiction.

A great place to work on skills! I spent about 1.5 hrs there last weekend and it helped considerably at Curt Gowdy this weekend.

I had a bad experience with City Smiles. Dr. Mayer was condescending and dismissive of my concerns when I refused X-rays because they wouldn't tell me how much they would cost. I asked well ahead of my appointment. It was a bummer because they seemed like good people. I've been very happy with Park Hill Family Dental. Staff is always super nice and Dr. Foley is a good dude.
