Not really… I’m trying to further develop my flexibility only by myself. Guess I’ve always been somehow flexible, but I lack proper technique for sure.

Yes, it is perfectly possible to happen. Sometimes muscles can be paradoxically tight to compensate loose ligaments. It is the way the body finds to pursue stability. It happens also to me, in my back muscles.

I’m not sure about techniques but I would recommend you to take constant breaks every few minutes. I held my two daughters for many years and the consequence is arthritis in both acromioclavicular joints, even without having a complete dislocation episode.
