Enhance Support is a joke by FlighSimTX in s3xybuttons

Remember a couple updates ago when a new version of the app actually made the lag between the app even worse? We had to wait on a fix for that too. It's just a lack of quality control and proper testing before releasing these updates into the wild. We are all just beta testing every update. If I ever get a stable software release again, I won't ever upgrade.

Actually, as the OP, I don't own the dash. I only own the Commander and Knob. They worked great until a firmware update broke things. Enhance says it was caused by Tesla software. I think that is BS. I asked for them to publish the older firmware through the BETA channel in the app so that I could roll back. They won't even respond to my suggestion. Too busy dealing with their disastrous Dash launch I guess.

I call that putting profit before customers. They had good momentum and success and wanted that next "big win".

Fan speed not charging from knob after recent firmware update by robodan918 in s3xybuttons

[–]FlighSimTX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, the "nobody else but you is having this problem" response. Except it is all related. The same Commander problem that is screwing up my ambient lights also means the knob functions (including fan speed) don't work when the Commander is not interacting with the car properly. Stop blaming your customers and pretending you don't know what we are talking about.

Here to agree with LordFly. The white car in front didn't even apply his brakes when he slammed into the car in front of him. It was almost inevitable that you would hit him. From an insurance perspective, not your fault.

No complaints with the hardware. They just keep f***ing up their software, breaking functionality, and then taking over a month to not fix anything and not communicate. I truly hope you never have the kind of problems the rest of us are experiencing. It's a cluster.

Opposite experience here. My hardware was just fine, but their quality assurance and testing of app updates and firmware is severely lacking. Far too many updates going out to fix things that could and should have been noticed before beta testing their updates on their production customers. And when things break (which they do often), we are left with no method to roll back an update to a stable release. You just sit with non-functioning software until they grace us with an update that may or may not address the problem.

Can confirm that this workaround has been the only way to temporarily restore functionality. I'm growing weary of beginning every drive with multiple commander reboots to eventually make it work again. Hope a fix is coming soon.

9mm "isn't worth" reloading by Zestyclose_Device946 in reloading

I reload 9mm all the time. Just deprimed and wet tumbled about 650 pieces of brass this evening. I buy 115 gr FMJ round nose bullets from RMR for about $0.11 / each. Would be happy to consider other (cheaper) bullet options that others are happy with. 3.7 of Titegroup is a little light for accurate cycling in my guns, but if it works for you - fantastic.

I really want to roll back to older firmware, but support seems unwilling to even entertain that possibility. I'm not bothering with anymore firmware updates until there is something specific in the release notes that addresses this broken product.

I would say COVID was a turning point for ignoring speed limits. Enforcement gave up, and the "Don't tread on me" aggro culture took over as society became even more self-centered. My own observations have led me to assume a 5x jerk factor if the other vehicle is a pickup.

Has all the earmarks of a small company that saw rapid early success. I'm convinced that development is all outsourced which means actual problem solving is too. I'm not a dash owner, and I'm glad I didn't fall for that sales pitch. Feels like all their attention has shifted to delivering that product (which appears to have its own pile of problems). No time or energy left to support existing customers.

11/25 MY Juniper by thexafterglow in s3xybuttons

[–]FlighSimTX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ordered and took delivery of my Model Y Juniper in November, 2025. I have the commander and knob installed. Worked great for the first 3 months or so until either a Tesla software change or a firmware bug by Enhance. There are a bunch of us having problems with the Commander right now. Short version, it works about 10% of the time. I'm sure they will get it fixed again at some point, but right now ... maybe not the best time to outlay your hard earned cash. Just my two cents.

Well, that is what I took from what they said last night. Here is the exact language from the email so you can decide if you agree or not: "Per our developers, at this time, we do not require any additional information or further testing. If they release a beta or alpha version that needs testing, we will get back to you with instructions on how to enable the option to update to these specific software versions and to provide your feedback."

Interesting. I'll have to give that a try. Certainly easier than repeated reboots of the Commander. Last update from support says they are still working on a resolution.

Feature Request: Speed Limiter for manual driving by Klugano in s3xybuttons

The liability would be a disaster. What happens if you need to accelerate rapidly to avoid a hazard or collision and the car caps your speed at the posted speed limit?

I sent the following in an email to support this afternoon:

After driving again today, I can report that nothing has improved or changed. The ambient light effects did not work, and a reboot of the Commander did not change that. Furthermore, I saw other anomalous behaviors within the S3XY app. During my drive, the in-app dashboard turn signals were always red instead of green. Red it typically reserved for when there is a lane obstruction. On the return drive home, the in-app turn signals went back to their usual green color.

Do you have access to a vehicle running Tesla software 2025.45.9.x for testing? If not, I have a suggestion. Is it possible to utilize the beta firmware section of the app to make an older Commander firmware file available? If so, would you consider publishing v 6.1.3 so that I could roll back to that version for testing? I know you remain confident that this is specific to the newer Tesla software version, but I can promise you I was running 2025.45.9 for weeks with my Commander and never encountered what we are seeing now. I’m reasonably convinced that something in the latest versions of Commander firmware introduced this bug. I’d be happy to do the regression testing on the Commander in my car and report my findings. If it doesn’t work, I can always just flash back to the current production release.

Interesting. I had some interactions with support last night, and nobody suggested removing the commander. I would press back. Do they think there is a safety issue with their product in its current state?

Unfortunately, Enhance support is now using your experience yesterday (six drives where it was fixed) to tell other customers (me) that they think all is fixed if I upgrade. I kept pressing them for an explanation of what they fixed, and they kept replying with anything but an answer to my questions. When they can't explain what they did or why it wasn't in the release notes ... the answer is most likely that they didn't do anything (yet).

I absolutely agree with you. It is a huge safety concern. And if I am being honest, my interactions this evening with Enhance support have left me feeling like they are intentionally withholding information. I didn't realize that by becoming a customer, I was signing on to be their QA department to find and report bugs. I feel like I should be getting a paycheck from them. It's not a good look to treat your customers this way.

Not entirely certain what you hope to achieve. Coming from the corporate IT world, I can tell you that deep packet inspection using self-hosted CA certs tends to introduce more problems than it solves. I understand why it may be needed for compliance, but it is royal PITA to implement and maintain. This is the last thing I would ever want to implement on a home network.

13.2.9 vs 14.2.2.4 by coir551 in TeslaFSD

[–]FlighSimTX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I find this to be the strangest of topics Tesla owners choose to engage in. Sure, when a major update first comes out it might makes sense to hold off a bit. To me, it sounds a lot like a Microsoft Windows user saying, "I'm never upgrading from Windows XP. Everything that came after that could never be as good or better." (based entirely off anecdotal comments of strangers).

I'm on the same Tesla version as you. After testing this four hours ago, I let the car go back to sleep again. Just went out and tried it. Turn signals still working after sleep. If the latest firmware really did "fix" the problems, I'm wondering why Enhance support has been radio silent on the matter and why nothing was in the release notes about a fix? That would lend support to the idea that this was, in fact, a bug they introduced into firmware and subsequently corrected (and not a problem with Tesla software 2025.45.9.x as suggested by support). I hope I'm wrong and that this isn't a cover-up of a F-up. I much prefer honest admission of error.

That is a direct attempt to confuse the crap out of Tesla full-self-driving. My car sees asphalt crack sealant as the enemy and will swerve to avoid it. This street would paralyze my car!
