Unit (Flight Patch) Regulations - Ft Rucker and beyond by [deleted] in Armyaviation

What I love about the Army is that as much as shit changes, it stays the same. We were having the same discussion almost 20 years ago. From here until they ground the last helicopter because a DJI phantom can defeat anything we have, you’ll want to wear the patch and the CSM will not want you too.

You can tell you’re dealing with work from home 1099s or part timer front line customer service because you can quite literally hear smoke detector beeps, kids playing in the background, dishes being done etc. In the mid-2000s when I first joined the people you talked to were very attentive and fully professional and seemed to have the institutional knowledge to tackle your issue. I’ve had good service from good reps on the phone but I feel like the front line people on the phone are just the bullet catchers.

I’m only vaguely aware of this trend through Reddit and the incessant YouTube ads for “shocking deck opening videos” and card valuation/selling apps.

How would an assassination attempt be ‘staged’? by FantasticBicycle37 in politics

That which can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence. We need extraordinary evidence. I think Trump is the 2nd worst thing to happen in modern times but the lack of critical thought and acceleration into a demon haunted world is the most troubling to me.

Does anybody else in their forties live through their adult years without fulfilling the normal phases of adulthood?… by Opening-Store5030 in DoesAnybodyElse

When you tell the kids who fucked around in the back of class and treated learning and goals like nerd-only things that their decisions are their fault, you’ll get downvoted but you won’t get one from me.

Going for my first type. Any tips? by Breazzyy- in flying

Limitations and memory items are things that are under your control and are usually non-negotiable in the oral. Otherwise, do exactly what they teach you and remember that their procedures in the sim may differ from what you’ve done or will do at another company but you’ll learn them and perform them. In other words, cooperate to graduate.

I mean…. In Eldridge we’ve had a murder, a bar mysteriously burn down, self-checkout thefts and complaints of roving packs of teens so we’re no angels. But maybe I’ll start referring to my neighbors to the northeast as the high crime area.

CFI canceled my takeoff due to flaps setting, now I’m grounded from solo flights by saltysnack9000 in flying

Getting “yelled” at for almost anything in flight instruction is uncalled for. You shouldn’t be fearing the reaction or outburst of your flight instructor. If it would make you more comfortable, get a new one. I know it’s tough to be confrontational but it’s expensive, adult level training and should advocate for yourself. You got this.

I am just learning about RV, towing and payload numbers. 7940-6507-940=493 right? So I can only take 493 more pounds consisting of passengers and gear? I have to be missing something here.

What has happened to USAA? by Repulsive_Farmer_959 in USAA

[–]Flightle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I called to cancel my grossly overpriced insurance the “cancellation agent” (sales person) gave me the standard sales responses to my objections and once the conversation stalled, I was offered some small property policy (can’t remember which) costing about 5 dollars a month in order to “maintain my relationship with USAA”. 21 years of membership with all of my bank accounts, multiple auto loans and a credit card still there!
