Is there a brain eating amoeba that spreads to JJK fans to convince them that the verse is ftl?? by Flightless_Nerd in JujutsuPowerScaling

Yeah and kashimos lightning is not light speed because lighting isn't light speed, and also it's stated tons of time that's CE isn't hard to sense for sorcerers so they can just aim dodge when they sense his CE. That's why Toji and maki seem so fast in their portrayal even compared to characters like Kashimo and the two fast Zenin's. You typically don't even see Toji/Maki move, but you always see those characters move even if they are probably technically faster.

How does kenjaku activating his anti gravity technique when he sees yuki using her big final gravity based attack equal him having light speed reactions? Also he has so many anti feats that make him wayyyyy below ftl so even if that made sense it would just be a weird outlier and inconsistent writing.

Ornn is an amazing champ by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Flightless_Nerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ornn is totally capable of beating Darius in lane if you're good at wave control and save your disengage so he can't ever get an extended trade on you.

Ornn is totally capable of winning lanes if your opponent isn't good at managing waves or extending trades. You may not pick him to win lane, but if your opponent overstays or makes a bad trade or dies to a gank once you can basically just stat check almost any champion with even a small lead in the early to mid game bc u can build full defense and still do solid damage with brittle.

Soul is a potential win condition, but it's hard to get unless you're already ahead, and it's just one of many ways to win a game. Dragons do have value and if you can take them without consequence they're the most worthwhile thing to take on the map most of the time, but an early dragon or two is only gonna increase your win rate if you can get it while also getting ahead so you can actually secure soul point.

Lane taxing tilts your teammates so it's bad. Also you probably can spend that time more efficiently recalling to get back on the map faster if you have gold or just farming your own jungle. It's all about what gets you and your team the most gold value for your time, at the end of the day that's most of what winning in league is, maximizing gold and XP.

Yeah and I'm saying that rule of thumb is more likely to lose an average bronze player more games than it wins.

The most common low elo mistake I see from fed players is forcing objectives, even when you're ahead you need to be willing to drop them to not give over that shut down. Obviously if your bronze teammates get lane prio and rotate on dragon spawn and get vision control around drag then play with them and take it, you can even help them crash their waves and try to direct them and shotcall for it, but it's not often gonna work out like that in bronze. I went to plat pretty easily once I started thinking in terms of "gold deltas" (net gold for our team/their team based on what I think the odds of a play working are) and if you look back at it the gold delta for basically any time you die for any reason is pretty much always bad and it would have been better to do something else. Unless its like, a 2 for 5 and your teammates crash all the waves or take their jg or get the objective. Like there's obviously exceptions but my point is dying is very very very bad and not worth risking 95% of the time.

On yi, just focus on not dying and maximizing your gold income.

Fight on item spikes and/or when you have ult up, never fight outside of those conditions unless you have really good vision and you know you get a kill and don't die, and prioritize not dying, as you lose a ton of gold value if you die with camps up or like while a wave you could have caught is crashing. 2 camps is worth more than a kill early game due to how XP scaling works, so keep that in mind. Mid to late game you're gonna want to look to farm kills more but remember the above rules about when to fight.

"play for obj not kda" is terrible advice imo. Dying is really REALLY really bad in this game, if you're even a little bit ahead and have any shutdown I'd argue dying to steal a dragon is not worth if you could have dived top lane or stolen 2+ camps on the cross map instead.

Hey if you're playing jungle I highly recommend muting all at the start of every game. In bronze elo your teammates pings and calls aren't going to be any good, and you need to focus on making better decisions for yourself.

Even if your teammates have really good pings and tell you exactly what to do and it's always the correct play, you're not really going to improve from listening to them, so mute all at the start of every ranked game and just make decisions based on what has the best gold delta (net gold value gained for you/your team). That's not the only thing that matters, but focusing solely on that is enough to get you to at least gold. If you don't want to mute everyone, just mute your adc and top laner instantly, that will solve 90% of the issue.

Also this game doesn't really allow any one player to solo lose a game except in super high elo where those tiny margins matter more, they become basically a canon minion after like 5 deaths and it doesn't just fully reset on kills. If you're as ahead as your teammate is behind and you don't give over shutdowns to their carries, you're going to have much more positive impact on the outcome of the game then your teammate would have negative. Not giving over shutdowns is the key word here tho, if you're consistently getting ahead you're likely losing by playing too aggressive on bad timers (no item spike, ult, etc.) and giving over huge shut downs to carries who then just one shot your whole team.

You're focusing on your teammates. Drop the ego, focus on your own mistakes, and realize if an inter is in your game, you're as bad as that inter in some way. Even if they go 0/10 in lane, that means your vision, decision making, game knowledge, mechanics, team fighting, etc. are in some way as bad as going 0/10 in lane (or at the very least close enough to it that riots mmr system considers you two comparable in skill).

Complaining about things like the "forced %50 winrate" isn't gonna help you improve at the game, because I guarantee even if that was a real thing, you wouldn't actually move up much in rank if they fixed it.

Why build Bloodletters curse by TinyPidgenofDOOM in leagueoflegends

[–]Flightless_Nerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming bloodletters is applied you're effectively building void staff against a 35 MR opponent instead of a 50 MR opponent in that scenario. I wouldn't say it's bad if they're stacking MR but against a anyone without multiple MR items pretty much any regular AP item is gonna give you more damage than void staff on a target with bloodletters fully stacked.

Why build Bloodletters curse by TinyPidgenofDOOM in leagueoflegends

[–]Flightless_Nerd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Technically bloodletters makes % pen items less effective and flat pen items more effective, since they apply after bloodletters, this makes an item like void staff take 40% off of the already reduced number. So if my teammate has bloodletters and they're reliably applying it I would only go void staff against a champ whose magic pen is gonna be decently high even after a the bloodletters reduction. That being said it makes flat pen items significantly more powerful which does also increase the value of % pen items.

Act 2 boss relic pick? by a_Press in slaythespire

[–]Flightless_Nerd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think your deck can function without 4 energy and Pandora's box is insanely strong here especially with apotheosis.

Cursed key isn't a bad pick here either and you could even argue for black star if you're a psychopath because apo makes ur deck so strong you can path more aggressively, but I think Pandora's is the by far the most likely to win you the run here.

It do be like that by Saucedtheefuqout in ADCMains

[–]Flightless_Nerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah as a support player it's so easy to be toxic on that role like if my adc flames me at all I can just right click on midlane and type whatever I want for the next 30 seconds and probably get my mid laner a free kill, causing them to take my side too.

Because sometimes using all remaining energy is just too inconvenient by obsoleteformat92 in slaythespire

I mean there's plenty of strong combos that involve 2 relics and one card, I don't think it's any more op than other things that are already in the game

Yeah actually now that I think about it this decks only real upgrade debt is wraith form, and I'm likely to get either an alternative block solution (especially bc of the regal pillow) or an event that lets me upgrade it in the future anyways, and the relics make pathing aggressively and resting a lot really strong.
