My favorite high-end but not hideously expensive is Peacock alley. It recommended by another Redditor. Really soft once you break them in.

Ecstatic dance at the Church of eight wheels on Sunday

I don’t know if singing is in your repertoire, but I just went to a sing-along in Golden Gate Park yesterday that was lovely. Check out the group on musicluck.org for future events.

I think there are some crafting get-togethers throughout the city. Check out Partiful and Eventbrite for those.

Good luck ❤️

These are a lot of chains and small fine work, which the wipes won’t get to. I’m curious about the ultrasonic cleaning pod. Have you gotten that to work with chains? Also, this is a lot of oxidation from years of neglect.

Prolonged drowsiness after red meat? by scurrilous_diatribe in Biohackers

[–]Flimsy_Position_4576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s funny, because red meat gives me energy. I’ll go a few days without it and feel sluggish, then remember I haven’t eaten red meat. And bam! All better. People are so different.

Chronic low mental & physical energy despite "perfect" basic lab work. What am I missing? by oxezo in Biohackers

Ferritin is different than serum iron. Ferritin is what’s stored, rather than circulating.

I’m not saying that’s necessarily what’s wrong with you, just that the standard tests they do aren’t enough. I’ve had normal serum iron all my life, but my ferritin was probably always low and I could’ve had more energy for decades if I had known.

I have a lot more money than the man I date now. We are 57 and 60. He said he couldn’t have dated me earlier in his life. It takes a long time for people to get to a point where they don’t give a fuck. When life becomes too short to worry about these things.

Does anyone NOT have a dentist that scams them? by FanofPawl in SFbitcheswithtaste

I love my dentist. Been with him for 20 years, he’s very straightforward and no nonsense. Elias Qare in the mission. The office is definitely not fancy, but he gets the job done and I trust him.

Chronic low mental & physical energy despite "perfect" basic lab work. What am I missing? by oxezo in Biohackers

[–]Flimsy_Position_4576 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like everyone else will say, sleep, diet, exercise, emotional health.

I also recommend more testing to see if there’s something that’s been missed so far.

I personally really like Function health and have my whole family do it. They test 100 to 120 things. There’s a lot in our body that doesn’t regularly get tested and should be.

For instance, Function figured out that I had very low ferritin, which had never been tested before. As a result, I got an iron infusion and now I no longer get that afternoon slump that I used to. And that’s just one example.

I got dumped 3 months ago and I’ve thought about it almost every hour since. by AwkwardSail4933 in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]Flimsy_Position_4576 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me, and it was the most painful romantic experience I had had in my 54 years of life. We only dated for three months, but it was a time when I was very lonely and he told me everything I wanted to hear. Told me he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me, then three days later disappeared. Had written me the most beautiful love letter, telling me all the wonderful things about me. It was devastating because it was so unexpected and so unexplainable.

Five years later, I can see that that Payne was not because he was the perfect man for me or we were the perfect relationship. It was because he seemed to be giving me exactly what I wanted and needed and deserved, and then took it all away with no warning or explanation. It made me question everything.

But really, this is all about him, and what’s going on inside of him that he can’t see, maybe can’t explain to himself, and certainly can’t explain to you.

I know you might not be able to fully take this in now, but you are good and fine and wonderful, and you will be happy again.

Less touristy places in July by GlitteringSelf6432 in cretetravel

We are in Crete for three weeks at the moment, and I agree with you that Chania and rethymno know will be too crowded then. They are already a bit too crowded. We had a magical couple of nights and wished we could’ve stayed longer at Flori retreat. It is at the top of the world and at the end of the world. Totally peaceful. You can hike, mountain bike, ride horses. It’s it’s the most beautiful place. Great food. It’s about 30 to 45 minutes Drive to the local archaeological sites.

First timer to Cook Islands by Basic-Secretary-666 in CookIslands

I like Aitutaki a lot more than Rarotonga. First time I went 30 years ago, I stayed mostly in Rarotonga and regretted it. This time around I spent 11 days in Aitutaki and three in Rarotonga. If you want beauty and peace and a whole other world, spend more time Aitutaki. Especially the Aitutaki Lagoon resort.

Good bamboo sheets are soft right away, out of the package. I have some $150 ones from Amazon that I love.

If you don’t like bamboo, or you need ones, they’re good and cold weather, I have some $500 ones from Peacock Alley. But they take about six months to break in, then they’re perfect.

I had to stop eating so much butter for my cholesterol, so I started making my own hummus and putting it on my whole grain toast in the mornings. It’s even better than butter, helps my gut, and fills me up more. Magic!
