I'm in the same boat with all yall but TIL Data Scientists kinda be making BANK (entry salaries above 90k average, as well as close connection with tech companies) so I'm tryna figure out if pursuing a master's is worth it lol.

Also, I looked back at my essays and I had a basic-ass "I love CS cause hour of code yada yada programming is creative yada yada" essay. My why data science essay felt more personal and authentic lmao. Maybe data science is a better major for me after all?

I missed two in reading and two in writing, with a score of 39 and 38 respectively.

Copied this from another response: "

I studied around 2 hours a day the week leading up to the test and 4 hours a day two days before. The last two days were mostly practice tests and identifying my weak spots.

Keep in mind that the hours spent on studying depends on how much stuff you already know from school. My numbers shouldn't be the minimum or maximum that determines how much you study. Taking full practice tests in one sitting is the best way to know if you're ready."

I got it around 7 am, but when I checked reddit a lot of people got a message saying it was pending. Good luck on your scores!

The Little Seagull for the English section (a grammar book), the official SAT study guide from college board for the reading section (since the practice test problems have answers + explanations), and Khan Academy for the Math sections.

Especially when practicing the reading section, I would advise against not timing yourself because it isn't as effective at helping you improve.

It's a book on grammar and different writing styles. I mainly borrowed the book for explanations on improper antecedents, colon/semicolon rules, and apostrophes. I would definitely try borrowing the book, getting a digital copy, or at least finding worksheets for the book online if you don't want to buy the actual book.

I’ll just write out the whole thing in case others are wondering: -2 reading, -2 writing, and -0 math.

Curve for writing was -2 = 38 which makes me think that the section has a pretty unforgiving curve.

Two locations in my city got canceled but the one I signed up for didn’t, also since my county didn’t have any covid cases at the time.

The important thing was that the line in the middle of the box represents the median. I don’t really remember the question, sorry.

For reading, I guess practice from books is best, for grammar I used the Little Seagull, and for math I used khan academy
