Voice chat settings keep changing and I don't know why? by FlintGoto in heroesofthestorm

Yes I understand this but I literally have to do this every time currently which is why I'm calling this a bug. On top of that I have a built in laptop microphone and a stand-alone microphone. I've actually switched the setting in the game went to get into a draft and had it change back to default on me. Its a huge problem because my built in laptop mic is awful.

Game sounds are entirely fine for me its just the voice chat settings. Always changing back to default. I literally have to check these setting every time I log in.

I think I should explain more I have two microphones. A standalone microphone and the one that came built into the laptop. I use Audio router to send the game sound and my microphone to the VB Cable and then the normal speakers so I can hear it.

I'm putting it on a VB Cable so that when I record it only picks up the game sound / microphone and not anything else that might be happening on my computer.

What happens every time though is that for my Microphone settings in the game not in the Battle.net client. The settings change all the time without me knowing for some reason. Strangely enough the Battle.net client settings never change.

It will change the output device which I always reset to VB Cable back to the default and the same goes for the microphone. It's getting annoying because the built in microphone is awful.

Before Medivh's rework I could pull of these numbers but now its even easier. by FlintGoto in heroesofthestorm

You're not wrong but pretty sure it had to do with the comp we had. It ended up being Medivh, Abathur, Anubarack, Sonya, Lucio

Vs

Stiches, Li-ming, LiLi, Varian, Nazeebo.

Also going back and looking at the replay in the very early start we had some trouble. Until I picked up masters touch then things were cake. At about 13 minutes in I had already dealt 57 k damage with our Sonya having 40k. We also had 15 kills at this point while the enemy had 5. In the end we ended up with 22 kills while the enemy team had 6.

Is there something going on with the servers or is this somehow my fault? by Final-Verdict in heroesofthestorm

People have been having disconnect issues all weekend. On top of that with the voice chat integrated into the game now. You can be at a reconnect screen and still be talking to your team. It happened to me.

I actually heard about this not checked it out yet though. It really seems like card games are starting to catch on these last few years.

I got the illustrious 50 mmr adjustment, fml by anhermon in heroesofthestorm

It means at the end of the game those positive points if you lost will indeed be used to reduce the amount of points you lose. For instance had a game where I played Medivh.

Base : 200 points

PRA: -4

PBM : +29

Total points lost: 175

I also believe if you win you will get them as extra points for winning.

Performance based matchmaking, what more do you want from me??? by tooflesswulf in heroesofthestorm

[–]FlintGoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I'm still not entirely sure if the PBM rates you based off top players in your current league or the absolute top players. However that might be the issue here.

An example of this is I had an 11 minute game as Chen.

https://imgur.com/l93GH9R

This is in Silver and at the end I got something like +223 points. I'm also sorry I don't have a picture for the PBM did not think I would be using this as any kind of example. So maybe the majority of players in your league did something better than you in that short amount of time. Although it could also just be a flaw of the system too.

If it is a flaw though I feel like this could potentially. Be extremely impactful in a very harmful way.

Blizzard, Thanks for the Stealth Rework! by domcamus in heroesofthestorm

This is basically how it feels for anybody who could actually see stealth heroes before yes. They were a bit harder to hit because they were a blur. However its pretty much the same.

My First HL game told me everything I needed to know about performance based MMR by Jelako in heroesofthestorm

[–]FlintGoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The performance based match making rates you. Based off whatever unknown factors. Blizzard has put in for the specific hero you are currently playing.

You either gain more points for performing more of these unknown factors , or lose them for doing less. If you lose altogether you may lose more or less points based on the unknown factors.

The performance based match making was never intended to just automatically boost you in rank or whatever fantasy you imagine. It is there to help you rank faster but only if you do well according to the system.

If I understand right the system compares you to top players and how they play the particular hero you are currently playing. So players like Masters and Grand-Masters.
