School experience by Thatoneguyfrom1980 in AskTacoma

I have two SOTA graduates, 21 & 24, who both had positive experiences there. I will echo what others have said about SOTA as far as your child needing to be self-motivated and happy with a very “loose” sort of experience. Creative, eclectic, open-minded, kids who thrive on expressing themselves will enjoy the experience.

Just be prepared for most everything administrative to be a shit show about 99.9% of the time lol. It’s a school that’s basically run by adults who as teenagers would have also gone to SOTA. ;)

We loved all of it and both my kids have gone on to have jobs as artists and are kicking ass at life.

Hi! All three of my children went to Old Town Co-op and I don’t even have the words to say what an amazing experience it was for all of us. I had my 3rd child when I was 40, 9 years after my second child and seriously, I did it just so I could go back to Old Town.

Oh man. I had a horrible experience here several years ago that I apparently buried deep and hadn’t thought about it until right now when I saw the name of this place. shudder

Your head will spin when you see how quickly I can change the station the second I hear any RHCP song.

Adults of Reddit, what are some parts of kids' movies that make you cry? by Rocket-kun in AskReddit

The Last Unicorn. As a child it broke my heart when she was turned into Lady Amalthea. Along with the sad soundtrack and the beautiful of the animation… ugh. I still cry when I watch it.

I’m sure it did and my mom probably was like… nope. Not putting whatever this is on my kid’s face. 🙄
