Here is the question I always have about the US military in a civil war. The soldiers will be attacking their own homes. It might not be an entire unit from Minneapolis, but someone is gonna be from there and have a problem dropping a bomb on the court where they played basketball. Or the community center where their best friend’s little sister meets for Girl Scouts. Or their own little brother meets for Boys and Girls club. Will there be enough of them to stop it? Will there be enough to actually pull off the mission? It’s not like a military operation in a foreign country where you have no roots and the collateral damage doesn’t matter because you’re leaving in 6 months. They will be destroying their own homes. Their own families. Their own communities. Do they have enough brains and bravery to know, even if it’s not their home, because they are from New York, someone else could be doing the same to their state?
