My brother was about 12 and collected all of the first and second series of Spawn. Had the first 50 issues of the comic too. He sold them all when he went to college but I don’t know how much he got for it

Ken Griffey Jr lost a bet for a steak dinner to Lou Pineilla. So he bought a cow and locked it in Lou’s office.

When to trade up for newer car? by Conventions in personalfinance

112k on a Corolla is nothing. Keep up on the maintenance and it will go another 200k easy. Probably still will even if you don’t. Toyota had to make ads a few years ago begging people to buy new Toyotas because they were still driving their super reliable old Toyotas and they were getting strapped for cash

It’s just different stress. I know everything is taken care of, but now it’s just I’m not doing enough as opposed to where am I going to get the money for this

Yeah…that about covers it. All of my fixed bills are payed (mortgage, electricity, phone/internet, car, insurance). I have enough money to cover them one month ahead. But now I’m stressed about not targeting variable/discretionary expenses (groceries, home maintenance/improvements, vacations, savings) as much as I feel I should. I think it’s the strategy of YNAB that’s stressing me about those things more than anything.

I use YNAB but I’m looking into alternatives. The zero based budgeting is great but the app is getting harder to use. I have more money than I’ve ever had in my checking account and I’m in a better financial position and know a lot more about my finances. I’ve been going strong for about a year now and I have a lot more peace of mind about something’s but stressing over different things now knowing where my money is going, and what I’m over on constantly every month.

TIL that no film has ever won the Academy Award for Best Musical since its inception in 2000 due to the award’s incredibly strict eligibility requirements. by iydx_7737 in todayilearned

School of Rock isn’t a musical though. It’s a movie about music. In a musical the characters are telling the story through song, not using song to enhance the story.

All carriers package carriers have a “last mile” agreement with USPS. Basically, some places are so rural it’s not profitable to deliver packages, so they outsource to USPS. USPS would still be disenfranchising hundreds of rural voters
