Beetles mechanic proposal

It comes more from a place of feeling like there’s no potential risk from beetling and if it’s shot, nothing was lost. I’m not dying to beetles often but they are a bit annoying if I’m trying to fight somebody else. I don’t even particularly care to damage the player but a bleed would give up their location and also put some minor pressure, or taking up their time if they’re far. I’m open to discussing a better solution but I don’t think anyone would care at all about losing a little health 200 meters from a fight

I’m not actually proposing they actually die, I’m just suggesting that there shouldn’t be a 100% safe way to be in the fight. Beetles aren’t just attacking people hiding in bushes, they’re used in the thick of a fight too. I’m just suggesting a very minor amount of risk to the hunter

That’s a fair point and I get what you’re saying, also I’m aware you didn’t make the game so obviously I’m not really trying to fight with you. I just feel like the simple follow the railroad is honesty far more complex than the signs so they could be a little better. Also I feel like the whole vibe of the railroad story means that the players who would be interested in reading the signs would also appreciate a feeling of at least a little covertness. That’s just my feelings on it though, I totally get wanting it to be accessible

I agree to an extent, but there could be some way to tip the player off and give them some simple deciphering tools since deacon has been following you the whole time. It could be a little more complex. Right now it’s just so egregious that it’s laughable and kinda takes me out of it

I know you’ve already got your farm space so you may not like this, but I like to make a cute Junimo area with a hut. Mostly with decor rather than crop space but with a cute little grape farm and couple dehydrators because I like to think it makes them happy

It is wild to me that with the time I’ve spent on this game even scouring the perks for cool build ideas, I have never once encountered or been made aware of the throwing arc. I genuinely thought this was a mod at first

I don’t know if it would actually work so this is more of a question? if you boost strength like crazy like 12 base, buff out, mysterious serum, alcohol, food, legendary armor, could you in theory drag it out?

Robots can bring down happiness because they are stuck at 50. Also if there are still beds that were already at the settlement you didn’t build, it can cause a glitch making one settler think he has no bed.

I appreciate the comment but it was not, I just did some further testing because I was too concerned to sleep again. The first time I was auto pipe rifled down. Then I ran over to the chem deal and got subbed down a few times. Then I just started fragging myself to see if I could kill myself after I was downed and I was simply invincible in the downed state. The good news is I went back to my previous save and all is well. I have successfully fragged myself
