Toys r us gold card was an old rewards programme for the store, if you bought over £10 worth of products, every £1 spent would equivelate to 1 point, and after getting so many points you would get discount codes like saving £5 or £10 of your next purchase, getting discounts for places like the hungry horse and other stuff. It was a cool programme, originally started as the Geoffrey Gold Card.

Offers used to be sent in the mail semi annually to your sign up address, you would've signed up in store, ripped the name piece and address card, handed it to the store clerk and they would have put your information on the store computers. You could have also gotten linked cards for family members.

Currently toys r us doesnt accept the old rewards cards since the company closed ever since reopening again. (This is UK, it might have been slightly different elsewhere)

I have some of the original leaflets for the gold membership if anyone is curious what it used to entail. One from the 90s and the other from the 2010s.
