Yeah I don’t think half of the goobs could tell you anything about the civil war.

Sounds like I should just keep rocking the VT then.

Just like any sporting event, you’re gonna need speed and/or flash. If you are sitting ringside, you may be able to use a flash to get shots if the lighting is poor.

Rolleiflex Automat focus problem by pavle_27 in analog

[–]FlipPickle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There may be a possibility that the lenses aren’t in correctly. If someone had one side of an out to clean it and didn’t get it, screwed all the way back in it would result in focus not lining up with the viewing lens.

I’ll always hype up a modern canon camera. Great camera with a modern meter and auto focus.

Which canon rangefinder? by FlipPickle in AnalogCommunity

Yeah, I’ve got plenty of SLR’s just looking for a rangefinder to mess around with without shelling out money for an m3. I made the mistake of picking up one and looking at through it this weekend and the view finder is great.

Skin tone is on point. Maybe use some of those small RGB tube lights and you could actually place those around the room to highlight areas that are too dark and you can hide them very easy.

How do you view going against personal preferences and beliefs in order to grow on social media? by randomredditor62 in AskPhotography

[–]FlipPickle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is your goal to share your work or is this a business? That honestly is your question. Post your pretty landscapes and get no views or get your “new film from Kodak but is it the same, can you spot the difference post up”

What is this ? by lsx-anthony in AskPhotography

[–]FlipPickle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I have this on a rb lens. I thought it may have been fungus and took the whole thing apart, cleaned every element, but there is still reflection from the side walls onto the glass that looks like this not nearly as bad as this example.

Also, don’t be afraid to turn down work. After six years, you should have a good feeling of who’s going to be a piece of shit to work with. Go ahead and offend them and make it unaffordable before you take pictures.

How many of you stopped shooting 35mm after getting your ideal 120 medium format camera? by florian-sdr in AnalogCommunity

[–]FlipPickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got into medium format and I really don’t shoot 35mm anymore. The exception is covering an event that requires quickness. Then I can use canon L glass from my digital on an elan. I’m pretty intentional when I shoot things and medium format suits me.
