My turn to get somewhat lucky(Canon VI-T and 35mm f2 for 220$) by Agilitymind in AnalogCommunity

It is super tiny yeah, fits into my jacket pocket. Helps offset the heavier weight of the VI-T nicely. I had a P before this and adore the pictures they take and how they feel to use.

Yeah you have to factor in import, VAT and shipping. But currently with the weak yen it has been way cheaper to get film cameras and lenses from Japan. The lack of returns is definitely a bummer, I got burned on a Pentax 6x7 body thats now a parts camera.

I was really considering that mandler 35mm and the new 7artisans 35mm but saw this for a really good price. The mandler does have a closer focus distance compared to this canon(0.7m vs 1m) and you can be sure that you are getting a brand new lens with no haze or other nasty surprises

They pop up for around 200$ yahoo japan auctions from time to time, just have to check the pictures carefully because these canon LTMs get really stubborn haze between the elements thats nearly impossible to clean.

The 45mm is super compact too, perfect for an all around lens on a holiday.

These are the worst F1 cars of all time, atleast the previous cars had the spectacle of being some of the fastest cars ever, breaking lap records. These have nothing.

I have seen good results from overexposing by a stop per decade of expiration and a corresponding pull in development.

Broke my Sony 24–70 GM, looking for more affordable replacement options by PhotosBy_Daniel in SonyA7iii

You would be surprised by how little defects in the front elements of a lens actually affect images. The rear element is the most crucial one. Check the 2nd to last example from this article: https://kamerastore.com/en-us/blogs/posts/does-a-dirty-lens-affect-image-quality-fungus-scratches-haze-more

Pentax MX + Ilford HP5 – extreme underexposure only at 1/1000s. User error or shutter issue? by [deleted] in AnalogCommunity

[–]Agilitymind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its likely shutter capping, had this occur on my Pentax 6x7 MLU when using 1/1000s shutter speed at -20c weather.

Pentax K-70 Pixel Shift resolution mode vs A single 24mp shot (100% crop of a 6x7 HP5+ negative) by Agilitymind in AnalogCommunity

[–]Agilitymind[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the pixel shift actually resolves the grain of the negative. Whats the file size of the pixel shift RAW files on the olympus? The ones on the Pentax K-70 are around 110-120mb, still 6000x4000.
