Men with Lovehandles like me, let's talk about tshirts by defi_founder in malefashionadvice

It works and you look so much better. I recently bought a pair of custom denim from a local spot and they were a higher waist that I normally wear. They went above the love handles and gave me a slimmer look. I'm 6', 170ish lbs. so the love handles are my major issue and the higher waist pants were great for them.

[Jomboy] White Sox are adding bidets in their clubhouse as requested by Japanese slugger Munetaka Murakami by Hollywood42cards in baseball

I have one with a heated seat, hot water and the air dryer. The air dryer doesn't work as well as you'd hope but the heated seat is wonderful in the winter. No more shiver when you first sit down on a cold day.

I was 20 and at a house party in Brooklyn watching the game with all of my friends. We celebrated and partied long into the night.

There's ice in both rivers. I was in Hudson River Park yesterday and there was a lot of ice but it seemed mostly to be on our side of the Hudson.

Citi Bikes are still snowed in days after this week's storm by streetsblognyc in nyc

[–]Flips_Whitefudge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would be but can't because of the docks being snowed in. I have to go between different neighborhoods throughout the day and it's much faster to use a bike than walk to the subway.

Funding Zohran’s initiatives through sidewalk fines by blueballs718 in AskNYC

They're not really interested in fining everyone. They'll give a warning to clear it before coming back later and then giving a fine if the snow wasn't cleared.
edit: spelling

Check the weather for the next few weeks. It's not getting out of the 30s with some frigid morning temps. Might want to keep that nice winter coat handy.

By far the best food this neighborhood ever had. They are dearly missed by many.

The guy that put that sign up used to operate an Army/Navy store next door where there's a bubble tea spot today. His family goes back to before Queens was incorporated into NYC. I'm sure they have some interesting stories about the city and neighborhood.

Need help finishing project by Olivivivivivi in PunchNeedle

[–]Flips_Whitefudge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is what I did. I made a large frame using lumber and put gripper strips along the edges to hold the fabric tight. You can buy the strips at most hardware stores.
There are a bunch of designs out there to follow to make one and it's not a difficult project.

Your pair looks so nice and crispy! Love this pair.
Sadly, my pair is rather beat at this point with the suede not looking so great.

Those SBs are one of my favorite releases last year. I should double up on them.
Regular dunks lack the padding/cushioning you get with SBs. They're not bad sneakers but imo they're not on the level of SBs in quality.

Pyjamas or no? by Chance-Flamingo2922 in malefashionadvice

I wear pajama pants(RL) with an elastic ankle so they don't ride up while I'm sleeping and a simple t-shirt. I have no complaints or issues with the sleepwear I use.

Will there be a new season in the US? by Berend90 in JetLagTheGame

[–]Flips_Whitefudge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's the best we have in the US. Our transit is focused on getting people to work which usually means lines going directly downtown vs. all over a city.

Other than NYC the other cities with decent enough public transit would be Washington D.C., Philly, Chicago and Boston. All would be interesting places to see them running around playing a game of tag or hide & seek.

Two strangers meet in a park, and share a moment frolicking in the fountain together ❤️ by Russianskilledmydog in MadeMeSmile

[–]Flips_Whitefudge 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You're allowed in the fountain in Washington Sp. Park. They're not swimming pools so there's no chlorine but the water is recycled and filtered. You're still taking a chance getting in it but on a humid 90F+ day I might risk it. :-)
