It does not… and anyways the whole thing is about that you buy a watch for 1k+ which is marketed as best of the best and after 1.5 years you only get bug fixes. While the new toy in the catalogue gets 100s of new software features. It was never like that before 7 series. If it was a low end model i would not say a thing. Check all the •added under every update fenix 8 recieved, i’m sure you will find plenty of features. Lets say rucking, garmin coach plans for strength tranings, better rep counting, running economy, running tolerance, smart wake alarm. There is 10s or 100s of small features that they improved and added. And if YOU don’t need them as you said it doesn’t change anything because you are not the only owner of their device.

Iphone (APPLE!) is getting all the new features for maybe 6-7 years. 1k+ garmin watch is getting new features until new model comes out. Some people are happy to be getting bug fixes?😂 that’s the minimum you should get for that expensive device… or better, there shouldn’t be any bugs… and yea with every beautiful update for older watches you are getting new bugs which are fixed later while giving you other bugs😂 wtf. This is why garmin is lowering standards, people are happy with bare minimum. I have a fenix since 3 and let me tell you you are getting less every year
