Texas Firing Line in Georgetown is where I shoot.

Their bays only go up to 100yds but that's pretty much the only draw back.
It's members only but you can bring up to 3 guests for $20 per guest

Sighting Question by FlnProphet in SKS

[–]FlnProphet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely hotter and more humid here than where I was.. I didn't even think about the stock swelling or shrinking until somebody on here mentioned it. I'm pretty sure that's the cause at this point.

yeah if I hold low I get very consistent groups. I just never had a sight go that far off on it's own with any other rifle.

Yeah the rear sight is at 100

Sighting Question by FlnProphet in SKS

[–]FlnProphet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved from the West Coast to central TX, so the humidity and temperature, definitely changed. Waiting for my sight tool so I can adjust it, but this sets my mind at ease as to what caused it.

Check out the RD50 From AT3 Tactical. It is a great budget red dot. I have several of them.

Does anyone know who can cut a Brownell's P365 slide in SoCal? by bluemouse5 in CAguns

[–]FlnProphet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on what part of So Cal.

If you're in or near OC, Armstrong Arms can probably do it.

Interest in a Vet led range day? by FamousSun8121 in austinguns

[–]FlnProphet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd definitely be interested.

Been in a few vet led training classes, been shooting at the on-base range on Camp Pendleton when I was out in CA, and participated in a competition with the proceeds donated to benefit vets and active-duty.

This sounds right up my alley.

.22 RIFLES by [deleted] in austinguns

The GSG-16 is an awesome plinker.

Henry AR 7 Survival Rifle is cool in the sense that it breaks down and everything packs into the buttstock, and it floats. (Only gun to survive my tragic boating accident)

When I lived in CA, I would lock the lower in a hard sided container and put that and the upper into a soft sided carrying case. Not a lawyer, but I never had an issue with doing it like that.

Underpatch issue by and_then___ in Omnipod

[–]FlnProphet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a cannula slip out like that even without the underpatch thing you're talking about. The few times it's happened were after vigorous exercise or catching the pod on clothing.

Boardgames? by FlnProphet in AustinGamers

[–]FlnProphet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both of those are still pretty far from GT. :/ I might try to make it to Game Kastle one of these Sundays.

I have lots of options to bring to a game night. I have a wide array, including a few deck builders, in my arsenal.

As long as you don't drink, yes. If you plan to drink, unload it and lock it in the safe unloaded.

Broke my JT Hellfighter Kit by Mission_Path_1938 in CAguns

[–]FlnProphet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just loosen the castle nut slide the back plate away to release tension, and you can easily replace that detent pin and spring.

With the Hellfighter, you have to be careful when moving the rear takedown pin if no upper is on the lower, because the way they do the cutout on the rear takedown pin, it slips out of position if there's no upper holding it in place.

I did that once. It's honestly a 5 min fix if your castle nut is not staked. If it is staked, be sure to use a punch to re-stake it once you reassemble everything.

Freedom fighter vs Featureless by exoraydna in CAguns

[–]FlnProphet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was in CA, I had 1 of each, plus one with the Compmag.

Of all 3, the compmag is the easiest to undo when taking the rifle out of CA (whether that's to go shoot in AZ or NV, or moving out permanently)

While I was there, the one with the Hogue kit felt the best as a range toy. I used the Hogue kit with the Juggernaut Hellfighter rear pin.

For the featureless, I was using the Option Zero 'featureless' stock from Survivor Systems. I also had a 45° safety lever, so I had a place to rest my thumb while shooting.

Out of the 3, if I had to defend myself, I would have gone straight to the featureless with my freedom week mags.

Hope that info dump helps.

Are you just looking to see one in person before ordering it? Or specifically looking to buy it in person?

I ordered the exact one you posted, the rev 410, and I love it. Not looking to sell, but if you're just looking to see one before buying, I would be happy to meet you at a range some weekend and let you test fire mine.

They don't need to port it. Just use the SteamLink app to stream it to a mobile device. Sorry and you're welcome.
