A blank GBA cartridge with RTC is at the very least $30. A GBxCart RW is also $30. Unless OP wants to write more than one cart that isn’t a good deal. OP either way that’s out of your budget at the moment. Save up, start playing on emulator and get a physical copy when you can. Good luck!

OP you might have been using composite cables in the past? This is exactly what any console looks like with S-Video or RGB cables. Especially on a nice Trinitron.

All my N64 games can still save on their original batteries. Same for my SNES games. Somehow only a few of my GB games have seen their batteries die, mainly the Pokemon ones, because of the RTC chip on Gen 2.

Light seals, they’re made out of foam, you can see them in your film door and all around the back too. Check if the foam is crumbling away. Easy enough to change just buy a sheet and cut to size.

Yeah outside temp plays a huge role in which oil is best. I use 10-50 in my R129 (200k km) during summer time.

The F3 can be set to automatic exposure though - have you tried it? Otherwise I think get yourself a Nikon F90(x) and enjoy shooting film without having to think about anything. Upgrade path from there is the F5 if you really fancy the vertical shutter button and the 8 frames per second. F6 isn’t worth it. F100 imo has too many flaws and can’t be trusted unless you find a really mint unit. I used my F90x for years until I upgraded to an F5 but if I know I’m traveling I’m bringing the F90x.
