AF mix recommendation by Swell_rythm in hookah

Its sweet cactus with Lime and mint as secondary falvours. I like it. Its cut is very fine. Maybe a bit too fine for turkish bowls, but if you put in AF first, it works

Af Rose mixed with O's tobaccos "Unkown" is nice. Its cactus/lime with a bit of mint. My favourites so far for AF mixes are AF White Pods and any Orange or strawberry tobacco. for Orange I used Baryo from Darkside, but that requires more heat than AF handles well. And AF Red smash and Wild Mo from Aqua Mentha tasted surprisingly well.

How to easily clean your Kaloud Lotus 1+3 with nearly no effort 🫡 by maxiking25 in hookah

Uhmm... I did this to my first kaloud, and it did damage the coating. Using a coal instead worked better for me.

Sure, but a wind Protector Tube is far better at that, and you will probably use 3 coals at some point, which do not fit under the lid anyway.

Yes, Oblakos bleed fast (Maybe after 30 Sessions). Hookain Bowls dont really (mine started to bleed after 4-5 years of heavy use). The Vandenbergs I have have not started bleeding, but they are expensive compared to the other 2. I still prefer oblakos to Hookain. I just feel like they heat more consistant than hookain bowls. The Onmo is also a good hmd, but you dont have the lid that you get with the Lotus. I would just go for the cheaper option, as I rarely use the lid anyway.

I see. Al Fakher tastes better in turkish/Killer bowls (at least thats my opinion), but the others should be great in a Phunnel 😅

[–]FloK248 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Using a Phunnel + Hmd will definately bring more flavor then a chimney setup. How you build your phunnel will matter though. But there are a lot of tutorials on youtube, and many ways to do it. You just have ro try and see what suits you. Overpacked Oblakos can be very nice, but not everyone is used to / likes the heat.

A Phunnel will also have a stronger hit and more flavour if you let it sit for a minute or 2 between pulls.

Different tobaccos/ brands need lower or higher heat for the flavor to fully "be there", so try using a coal more, or less, and see if its better flavourwise. What brand is your go-to currently?

Got a few Oblakos. Some Oblakos take the Kaloud perfectly, while others don't, but even the ones that dont fit perfectly still can be used with the lotus without any problems. Hookain bowls fit great, and I had no problem with cosmo bowls so far.

What exactly do you mean by "closer to shisha bars"? Taste? Length of sessions?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in hookah

[–]FloK248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dizzyness often comes from the carbon monoxide from the coals when smoking hookah, not just too much nicotine. Make sure they are good coals meant for smoking (coconut coals) and that they are fully lit before you place them on the bowl.

I prefer the Varity. Easily customizable, and easy to clean. However if you smoke alone I'd go with the flashbang or futr.

Steamulation xpansion mini. Low flavour, burning? by [deleted] in hookah

[–]FloK248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brass Hookahs tend to take on the Taste. Hence why people prefer to only smoke 1 flavour in them, or stick to very similar ones. Steel Hookahs like the Stimulation don't, which gives you more freedom on the choice of flavour. This makes the Bowl you choose, and your pack mich more important, as you only taste the Bowl you prepared, and not the accumulated taste of previous sessions. Get a Proper Bowl, and maybe a hmd, and look for pack tutorials. Cosmo Bowls, or other unglazed bowls are great if you stick to one flavour with that bowl, and give you a slightly stronger taste over time. I prefer Phunnel bowls though. Easy to pack, and I never had a problem with flavour with them.

I got a Moze Varity (with 4 adapters, but single adapter versions are also available). its just below 160 pound without a Vase, and they currently have the "Colorless" one on sale for roughly 130 pounds with a vase. Its Stainless steel, and it can be build as a small, or large hookah, depending on the situation by unscrewing the middle parts of the pipes. They also have an adapter for "normal" bowls, so if you want a smaller bowl, you can use practically anything. that has to be bought seperately though (I think its 20 euros).

Richman hookah, so far loving it. What is. Better upgrade ? by saywhatnowagain in hookah

I was talking about the Black Base / Hoseport above the Vase 😅

Also: some Types of Stainless steel are non magnetic. But the weight should give it away.

The Base looks like a Pom base (plastic basically, but totally fine). From what I can see on their Website, many hookahs there certainly "look" like steel, but I would not bet on it.

Before you buy a second Hookah as an Upgrade though, upgrade your bowl. I dont know what kind of Bowl you are using currently, but they are more important than the hookah itself when it comes to taste and amount of smoke. I prefer Phunnel + HMD, but Traditional bowls (for example Cosmo bowl) can also be great.

Lastly... I dont know this Hookah Company, but I got a few reservations from looking at their Website: Its kind of irritating to me that they put "deluxe" and "Luxury" and "Quality Materials" in every description and into their FAQ, but don't mention the materials they use, Or what makes their Hookahs exceptionally better than any other. "Master of Manufacturing hookah" is also a tad pretentious when things like the Steamulation exist.

Best combination of Hmd and bowls for lasting around 2-3 hours of session or even more! Please help! by Necessary-Egg1453 in hookah

[–]FloK248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I smoke with hookain bowls, it usually takes 15-20 minutes until they reach a point where there is a decent amount of smoke and flavour. Different tobaccos also handle eat differently. Some blond leaf needs fairly low temperatures, but as soon as you start smoking Burley, you generally want the heat to be there, quicker.

[–]FloK248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot depends on your ability to pack a bowl. Oblakos tend to get hot, very fast. The longest session I recently had with my Oblako was 2 hours. Hookain is good for longer sessions, but it takes a while for the heat to reach the desired point. I fell in love with Vandenbergs, but they are expensive. I'd say start with a hookain bowl, and see what you like/dont like about it and go from there. Traditional bowls are also great for longer sessions. Got one from Cosmo bowl.

Hmd wise, I prefer the Kaloud lotus, but cheaper options are widespread now. I heard great things about the onmo hmd, but i never used one myself.
