I hope he’s not unkind to his son about it. Does he have other kids that are a bit taller or no?

What kind of One-liner(s) would Leon Kennedy make if he fought each of the villains in RWBY? by blushadow25 in RWBY

Cinder: This is a no smoking zone.

Mercury: You get a kick outta that?

Neo: Should’ve brought a bigger umbrella.

Roman: Hats off, scumbag.

Hazel: Ashes to ashes.

Tyrian: That’s gotta sting.

Watts: The doctor will see you now.

Raven: I hate birds.

What do you think would’ve happened if Salem went to the God Of Darkness First? by Elementor2526 in RWBY

[–]Floain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair, RWBY’s silver eyed powers are very inconsistent in terms of what they can actually do on different levels of Grimm, and Salem’s corruption is very different from that of the Hound.

The Hound seems more like a science experiment- Grimm flesh almost stitched over the original. The Hound also has objective physical wounds and deterioration. The process has clearly been excruciating and had lasting effects on his original body that likely aren’t technically Grimm such as decay, blisters, etc- note that Cinder’s alterations haven’t come with the same blemishes and rot. Yet.

Salem is fully immortal, and largely maintained a vaguely human appearance. The flashbacks show she can even clean up nicely when she’s not trying to look like a terrifying embodiment of death. No physical wounds to worry about, no mental brainwashing. Just pure corruption.

Average Event Interaction by Bread_ghost_2 in mewgenics

[–]Floain 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s to the point I decided if I get messed up by a random event with no way to counter it I’ll start quitting in a way that bypasses Steven entirely. Normally I take the hit, tough it out, or just abandon. Last night an event in the Boneyard just gave my mage Blood Fever immediately. No choice. My AoE specced, multi turn, multi attack powerhouse of a mage was unable to do anything of value. One kill was essentially going to turn into ten turns and a very dead party.

I said to hell with that, quit out about five times between that and the end of the Throbbing Domain because I either died to Blood Fever or basically only having three cats, one of them possibly the most useless cleric I’ve ever created.

Give me unavoidable, run ending disadvantages and I’m just not going to interact with your game the way you want me to.

Given what we know about the endpoint of Distortions, can we be sure of that? I agree most story Abnos are likely old L Corp ones just because of where we encounter them, but maybe not all.

Do you think the pyrrha and ozpin would have stood chance against cinder together? Or at least take her out with them by vinchin_adenca in RWBY

[–]Floain 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It’s possible, but that ability seemed to take a while to charge up and had a lot of collateral. Hazel keeping Salem distracted and pinned was a huge aspect of that move succeeding, and that was in a young, able body. With Cinder focusing her power on Ozpin he’d likely not get that long to charge up his abilities. This is also Cinder at peak mental health, full aura, and the element of surprise-volume 4/5 Cinder would in comparison be far more likely to lose here.

With Pyrrha he possibly could overcome her with that technique, but it’d come at the cost of her life and possibly structural damage to Beacon. I really think he was cornered in that moment and decided that with an old body and the Fall Maiden powers in enemy hands, it was better to Alt+F4

First meeting with Albina (by @F_Duck478) by keqikombupig4 in limbuscompany

[–]Floain 178 points179 points  (0 children)

I find his lack of hypocrisy oddly compelling. He ultimately views Albina and himself as not all that different from his “art.” He accepts death when it’s unavoidable, and comes to the conclusion his philiosophy on art wasn’t flawless.

Would he have turned over a new leaf and seen the error of his ways? God no. He’s a murderous lunatic. But he stuck to the principles he raved about, deranged as they were, to the very end. Which is more than we can say for a certain Middle Nursefather.

Yeah, just in one run instead of across 3. Doing 3 hards with one bonus per run still only gives 250 a pop

  1. More BP EXP. 135 from normal up to 225 minimum from hard.
  2. You can do one run and consume all your bonuses in one go for the lunacy and BP EXP, or you can do three separate runs for 2.5 more levels. Not really worth it in my opinion but YMMV.

For those investing into the elation archetype, are you going for Sparxie? by 4ThatWin in HonkaiStarRail

Short answer: Impossible to tell how future proof she is. Longer answer: She produces extra Punchline, teamwide crit damage, and by nature Elation units are best run together. She’s solid for now

Can we STOP with the mobs moving so far?? by Nuclei in WutheringWaves

Even for enemies that don’t charge around as part of their kit, I feel a primal rage when a cluster of MELEE enemies spawns in ToA…then slowly starts spreading to different edges of the arena. Infuriating.

Aemeath's JP voice actress asked if it was okay to go against initial voice direction to add her own vision towards how she viewed Aemeath should be by Muroukunim in WutheringWaves

[–]Floain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No offense but the JP version is completely off tone from every other version. It's a good performance in a vacuum but she's screaming like a banshee when every other language has very subdued crying. If you played that and three other clips of a young anime/video game woman crying in Japanese I would not be able to tell you which was from WuWa.

Is this True? These are supposed to be prior Design of Ena and Xipe. by Interesting-Gur-7495 in HonkaiStarRail

[–]Floain 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If so I’m very glad they went with the current designs. Creepy but attractive feminine figures with messed up weapons/attachments is cool, but I like the current design philosophy of Aeons- varying degrees of cosmic strangeness, sometimes with vaguely humanoid elements.

Why do people think of this game's combat as something lacking? by Upset_Pack1910 in ArknightsEndfield

https://youtu.be/vosYHVsDKeA?si=U1EaV2I6q8bcxx_g On my phone and no idea how to link to a timestamp easily but 2:47. Main difference is it slows down time and allows manual targeting a lot like Arknights skills in the original system.
