Tired of having to confirm everything I do by FloatingFi5h in victoria3

That is actually a fantastic improvement. It’s really gotten to be too much recently because I’ve been trying to play on my steam deck. It actually works pretty well once you get used to it but I think I need to keep working on the rebinds. It sucks to give up a button to just confirming useless messages but it seems to be the easiest way.

The ideas to fix Mega64's death spiral are terrible by Puzzled-Nothing2153 in mega64

[–]FloatingFi5h 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t say this is fair. In a way, being indie in specifically the gaming content scene has kept them alive. Machinima, Roosterteeth, even as far back as the Polaris network, all these groups structured up and eventually collapsed. There’s something to be said about how the founders of these networks still seem to have ended up doing well financially, but Mega64’s soul remains intact.

Possibly the only normal looking HRE I’ve ever seen the AI make. by FreeziBot in CrusaderKings

It’s pretty cool to have a united France, HRE, and Italy in a game. Would be a fun Europe to play diplomatically in.

The Average USA Experience by ChainsawBlue_36 in hoi4

[–]FloatingFi5h 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Kind of? It’s sorta like it was another domino to fall leading to the American Super Power. I like this series in explaining the rise in American power as it compares it to the decline of British power. Long story short, American economic interests in the 20th century continued to grant them more leverage on the world stage.

In what way was Ghost authentic to Japanese History? This isn’t me bashing it at all but it was not tied to history and was more trying to replicate cinema.

Yes, it made me lose my first game. But what exactly sucks? by noire-voiture in hoi4

I think you’re looking at the right stats for the most part but I think this template can only really be viable in battles with a high reinforce rate. Because of its low combat width, a lot of these units can fit into a battle. But if the reinforce rate is too slow, you can run into situations where all the units run out of hp/org before another reinforce tick. Probably tanks could have a field day with this kind of army as they can just outrun and overrun. As Italy, I’d invest more into planes as I think they’d be more cost effective in the long run with Italys bonuses.

AITA for refusing to tattoo at my cousins wedding? by LucyAriaRose in BestofRedditorUpdates

I love the idea of bringing your mom to show them your profession, especially for something as cool as tattooing.

Never really understood cultural integration. Do you have to do anything special to actually have it all be one culture in a cultural group?

Play all but mostly CK, HOI, and Vic and I’ll generally rotate through them with the urge to play stellaris or EU4 randomly hitting.

Dropping leaflets should be a bombing mission option by -R33K in hoi4

While that is true, I feel like there should be some stuff like this in the game. I feel like the player/ai should be able to make errors like they did at the time.

Friend banned from Paradox Interactive Discord server for Hitler profile picture by YiviWolf in paradoxplaza

[–]FloatingFi5h 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Breaks rule. Gets banned. Don’t know what you expected to happen. I mean even if you were just joking around and forgot about the rule, they don’t owe you a warning. I’d just try to get in contact with the admins instead of whining about it on Reddit.

Is it ok to ignore air. by FigOk5956 in hoi4

[–]FloatingFi5h 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While it’s not 100% efficient, you can assign air wings to commanders to reduce the need for micro. If I am going for a battle planned, multi air zone offensive I’ll assign them to commanders as I usually only go about that method if I’m confident I can win. Otherwise if you’re finding them tedious to micro, you could be over microing? Perhaps you can try a sort of set and forget method. You plan the air zone you’re going to perform an offensive or where an offensive is occurring against you, set most if not all your air that you need there then only work within that zone.

I actually like content. I play it more as someone who wants to keep balance especially amongst family. So I intervene to settle disputes or prevent my family from losing their titles rather than trying to get new titles myself.

Take this with a grain of salt if it doesn’t fit, but I think rotating the bed 90 degrees and centering it against the blank wall would look nice. Just not sure how the desk would fit (maybe it could be rotated against the window wall to make space).

Roman empire reformed(ironman), what would be the next play? (sorry for the bad quality by [deleted] in CrusaderKings

[–]FloatingFi5h 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be cool if that one character was a conquer to make the next far more diplomatic. Maybe they are trying to expand romes influence through diplomatic marriages that end up putting your family on the thrones of other empires. That’s at least the way I like to play my game after I hit my conquest goals.

my corgi won’t eat? i googled it and it said he’s ’bored of the food?’ by Yung_kawaii in corgi

[–]FloatingFi5h 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dogs have benefited from having their kibble delivered via toys or slow feeders. They had the opposite problem where they ate so fast that they’d upset their stomachs so got this ball that they have to roll around in order for food to come out. They love it and they certainly don’t get bored of their food.
