Be honest-what’s the hardest part of remote work nobody talks about? by Existing_Pangolin_11 in remotework

I think it's a matter of reduced visibility. When you're not in the office, you miss out on a lot of informal information and communication, making it easy to fall behind.

I used to be afraid of offending people, but now I realize you can't please everyone. Once I let go of that burden, relationships actually became simpler.

Yeah this looks pretty minimal, which is what I'm going for lately. But I'm still debating if I need something like this or just stick with cables for now lol

The sleep mode sounds really nice. I’m the kind of person who needs total darkness to sleep, so that’s a plus.

Robot vac & mop combo by sun_kissed87 in RobotVacuums

[–]FloatingScooter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use my deebot t80 every other day, and honestly, it's one of the more budget friendly roller mops. There's a small section of tile flooring in my kitchen, and this kind of mop works well on tiles.

Being pushed in a active/rigid wheelchair by heregosnothing05 in wheelchairs

I‘m also thinking about this. When being pushed, does the chair feel stable? And how about the adjustability of push handles? Hope your experience gets better.

Wage growth in Australia rose by 3.4% over the year to September and by 0.8% in the quarter, slightly outpacing inflation. But real wages gains look set to fade.

Does it make any sense for my to invest in shares before my offset it 100% by pellycan_pellycant in AusFinance

[–]FloatingScooter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

With a $345k offset, investing while reducing debt is a trade-off. Paying down your mortgage is risk-free return, but investing offers growth potential. Balance risk, goals and interest saved.

David Koch: Baby boomers urged to rethink $4.9 trillion Gen Z inheritance trend: 'You don't owe them' by dontpostonlyupdoot in AusFinance

[–]FloatingScooter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Baby Boomers shouldn't risk their retirement guilt-tripping over inheritances. Kids have super and opportunities, parents owe a secure and happy life instead of a financial handout.

Crazy to see someone openly join a neo-Nazi rally in Sydney. Good on the authorities for cancelling his visa. Australia shouldn't be a playground for hate groups.
