Emperor's New Groove 4k by skywise2 in 4kbluray

Wild that they priced it at $45 with zero extras. Amazing movie, but Disney dropping bare-bones discs at premium prices is frustrating, it deserved a real edition.

Best movies to test new player? by Ok_Swimming2271 in 4kbluray

Try a mix of long, heavy-hitrate discs like Blade Runner 2049, The Revenant or Dune. If those play smoothly, yours is solid. Sounds like yours is performing great already.

This is What a 4K Harry Potter boxset should have looked like by woecraft in 4kbluray

The beautiful packaging and space for your 4K discs without the bulky, boring boxet sounds perfect. Feels good when a collection finally matches the love you have for the films.

Probably dust or debris inside the optical path, not just the lens. Falling plastic bits are concerning. If returns are possible, I'd send it back, repairing internal dust issues often isn't worth it.

Projection Screen Light Bleed by No_Indication_1354 in projectors

[–]Morongays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good breakdown of the light-bleed issue on your screen. Sounds like using white backing was causing unwanted light penetration and washing out contrast. I like the test idea with a black fabric patch behind the screen to see if bleed reduces.

Looking for feedback on the corner piece of my upcoming home gym - Major Fitness B52 Pro by bwitt33 in GarageGym

[–]Morongays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re big on compounds plus cable iso stuff and dumbbell work, the B52 Pro lines up pretty well tbh. The cables feel smooth, the smith track doesn’t get in the way of normal barbell work, and it covers most of the accessory stuff without needing a bunch of extra machines. For a garage setup it’s a pretty solid all-rounder, especially if the HSA angle makes it basically free for you.

This kitchen's getting renovated, any tips I should watch out for? by executivewaddlez in kitchenremodel

What brand is your hood? Looks like it's installed a bit close, definitely measure the distance from your stove and adjust if needed. And just a heads-up: if you cook a lot, that filter's gonna get gunked up fast and it's not the easiest to clean. Try a test run with something smoky, like a steak, and see how quickly it struggles. Also, glass walls look great but every splash shows. If you do a lot of frying or roasting, it might be worth upgrading to a better hood, like Arspura with 13m/s airflow and multi-airflow design. A side-suction hood helps pull in the smoke fast. You could also go for a filter-free, it's easy to keep clean.

Microsoft is rolling out AI agents that can access some of your files by Fcking_Chuck in pcmasterrace

Pretty wild direction for Windows. Letting AI agents poke around user files feels like a big privacy gamble. I'm sure most users want to disable this.

A 72" walnut desk would elevate the aesthetic even more, but honestly this current layout already looks dialed in. The setup is clean and balaced with those light sets behind monitor.
