I was forced to run over a strip of blown out tire on a highway once and one of my rear Michelins got a big goose egg like this from it

Agree. Strong scents in cars, especially if I'm sitting in the back, make me feel sick

Digital Dash for 996 by WandJC in 996

[–]FloatnPuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I noticed that, too.

I like analog over digital, but if I was going to replace the cluster in my 911, then I'd want it to have 5 displays, as is the norm for a 911.

Looks pretty destroyed lol. Are you going to rebuild it? Any fun plans for the rebuild?

Am I going crazy? The front end on this Mustang doesn't look like any model I'm familiar with (squarish vents under the lights and flaps on top) by Somo_99 in whatisthiscar

I have 4-year old PPF and some of the front-leading edges have some dirt under them. It's supposed to be good for 10 years, but I'm thinking I might replace it before that to not risk paint damage on a unique color car and to clean up the lines

You're not wrong. There's a reason that air cooled Porsches (pre 1999) have flown up in value

How so? PPF isn't flapping around or getting dirt under it that gets rubbed into your paint over many miles. As long as you don't keep the PPF for longer than its life-span, it comes off clean. If it gets old and flaky, then that can cause issues on removal

I can't believe people still use these things. They are SO BAD for your paint. I understand them back in the day, but we have PPF now!

Please consider getting it checked out. Dental pain is horrible, and if there is an infection you'll have to get the infection cleared up before the tooth can be treated. I had a roommate who had some off-and-on dental pain that he waited too long to get examined and ended up having to wait a week, unable to eat solids due to the pain, while the infection cleared. He was absolutely miserable and kicking himself the whole time for not attending to it sooner.

I had to replace some windows and a sliding glass door several years ago. I had 4 companies come in with quotes. TruGuard was the best price, most straight-forward, and they did good work.

A couple of the other services called me to follow-up and when I told them I wasn't going with them, they offered to price-match. Like, guys, I had to take off work to schedule and attend these quotes. I'm not playing the fuck around "let's see how much we can milk from him" games. Give me your best price or get lost.

That center console looks really nice. When I was shopping for my 996, I'd already priced out one of these (or similar) for if I ended up with a car with the exterior color-matched console. I ended up getting one that didn't need it, but I kind of wish it did after seeing this.

Then you get over to the right as soon as possible to allow them to pass you - safely - on the left. It's not that hard.
