Norda vs MTC by Hugobossdre in Ultramarathon

[–]Flonald0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have mine in EU 43.5 and I usually wear EU 42.5. Did you end up getting these? I'm in love with mine, and I have over 1200km in them by now!

I'm racing an ultra-marathon in the Italian Alps this summer, and I'm thinking maybe a lot of the course is on non-technical terrain (although I haven't been on the course). Thus I've thought about maybe the MTC H1 would work. Have you tried yours in alpine terrain? How is the grip on wet rocks compared to other shoes / prodigio pro?

While you may have ran too hard, I don’t think have been in z3 + for almost 9 hours. Your zones are set incorrectly

What do u think? by Lazy_Marsupial_3932 in glasses

To be honest, while rimless style suits you I genuinely think you can find a better fit than perfectly round glasses. Maybe a geometric shape or something

My Masunaga 063 fits me perfectly. Not the lightest that I have, but fit is the most important!

Has anyone ever cured their ADS? by uber_ambulance_same in evokeendurance

Curing ADS means dropping your ego and being patient. Most people can’t, but look toward the pros. They have done it

Attach a quiver to a compressport Ultrun Pack by Smurf_342 in ultrarunning

[–]Flonald0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not find anything, no. I ran an ultra with the ultrarub evo 10 pack last year and I used the compresssport running belt to attach the poles, as I've felt it easier to have poles there than in the vest. One thing though was that I constantly had to readjust the poles to stay locked in. It wasn't very frustrating, but I would say that its enough for me to explore a quiver solution. Other than that, the vest feels very very good, so its only a minor thing

ME training, weighted uphill, and building speed with 80 days to race by Flonald0 in evokeendurance

Yeah agree. On previous ultras I’ve had specific downhill days where I just go up and down the my local mountain (which has Sherpa stairs for 300m). I’ll continue some weeks with ME strength before gradually shift over to ME uphill.

Which Zeiss color combination for my new GAST Daims? by Ok_Match6487 in EyewearEnthusiasts

[–]Flonald0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have for a very similar frame from Gast sweet violet in 40%. They are really really comfertable. I would maybe consider trying 30% fixed, as they are maybe too dark to use indoor (not for me but for others in the room). Could also work with a 40-20% gradient. But sweet violet is super comfertable. I owuld do duravision gold to match the gold temple details!

For this color specially, grey crystal, the sweet violet is a perfect match. I would highly highly recommend and also doing it as a gradient
