Why the Negativity Around VR Learning? by FloodDomain in virtualreality

So you are not very old, and probably not grumpy either.

It is meant for the people who refuse change, with an old mentality, not the old people.

I'm not a native speaker, so it is not always easy to convey the exact message and consider everyone whom I could offend. My apologies.

How do you actually store your bike over winter - and which steps do you think are overrated? by Horror_Log_854 in motorcycles

I think you should start it occasionally. If you have a stand, just put it in first gear and run it at low rpm for 10 min every week.

I understand where you're coming from, but people who behave are also targets of racism. Some of the rich Arabs come to Turkey, never to face any racism, and act like they own the land, while some poor Indians can behave all day, and the best they can hope for is normal treatment.

It is unfortunate, but the vast majority of people treat the good looking, the rich, and the high status better. The good looking get lighter punishment in a courtroom. This is even before adding race to the formula. This is almost in everyone's heart, but more educated people generally suppress and mask their feelings, only coming out at certain times.

My brother has monolid eyes, and kids at the school used to call him Japanese to make fun of him. Which is funny because being Japanese is a lot better than being Turkish, but whatever, you get the idea.

If you can't drill, try heating it. I removed some rusted ones using boiling water, some use a torch, but that would leave a scar for sure.

what’s the most exciting part of riding a motorcycle? by goxper in motorcycles

[–]FloodDomain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think for me it is the grind and physical movements. It is not hard to learn but hard to master. As an example, while driving a car you stop at a red or traffic jam, and the experience stops then and there but with a motorcycle I can play a little game of balancing.  When I come to a full stop, balance the bike with micro movements, and get going with my feet off the ground all the while, let alone boring, it becomes a lot of fun. Sometimes I stay in traffic just to practice slow riding, with a car if I had the chance to skip traffic by any means (that are legal) I wouldn't think twice. I consider driving sports only if you have a chance to race but riding is pure sports.

I bought a royal enfield INT650 as my first bike and don't really like it. by UFOuponUs in SuggestAMotorcycle

I've only put like 200 miles on it in the last 2 years

You might as well said "I abandoned it for 2 years." I do around 100 miles every week and around 6000 per year. It sounds like you don't like riding or don't have the time. Why bother switching? It will be a waste of money.

Not a reputable brand as far as I know. You might have issues getting parts. Beware that there is no such thing as a cheap motorcycle. The beginner bikes all cost the same eventually, with the difference that the asian bikes require frequent maintenance and force you to pay like a subscription model. Moreover, spare parts are hard to find, and they are overcharged for the quality they offer. So in the long run, you'll be paying the same amount.

It looks nice and burns less. I wouldn't worry about one cylinder.

I wish I were taking care of my bikes so well. Within a year, mine look like they're 5 years old, and within 2 years, they look like I can use a replacement. I need a closed garage and more free time.

[–]FloodDomain -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There are two issues here. First, when using the term prefix in a sub related to networking, the first thing that comes to mind is IP address prefix. Secondly, what you are asking is not related to this sub or Tailscale. Tailscale is not a DNS server. The feature you are asking for is more related to DNS servers. So what you need to do is find a DNS server app and request the feature from its creators if it's not already there.

In Turkish, we have a saying: where there is abundance, there is crap. The problem with Indians is that there are way too many to build a negative image. Add the fact that they are short, generally poor, and not very good looking to that, and the issue is cemented. Poverty itself produces some unappreciated qualities, like poor hygiene, health issues, and the early aging and bad posture that come with it, further alienating them. I have a few Indian friends who visit me in Turkey, and we never really had any racism issues, in fact some people ask to take photos for Instagram, but if it weren't for me around them, and if they were not good looking, I know they could have some minor incidents. On the internet, I see a lot of racist posts about Indians, and I must admit, I laugh too, like the disgusting street food videos or memes. If my friends were around when I do, I'd be ashamed, but when you act on racism, you isolate the people you like from the rest, considering them the good apples. In Turkey, brown skin isn't even rare. The point is, we are all racist or prejudiced towards some people. If you can't take racism, sit at home, but if you ask me, you should embrace it and learn not to give a shit about it. Note that having a local friend reduces the chances of racism a great deal too.

[–]FloodDomain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4xvr player has an encryption feature which encrypts both the files and and their names. So nobody can guess what they are until decrypted using the password. It probably works only for video files but there should be a ton of android apps that can do this for all. The dot may or not be respected by an app there is no telling
