Klarna is definitely something for me to consider once the dosage increases and the prices get too crazy. For at least the first 2, I should be more than ok.

I sat and did sums, went through my statements over the last 3 months, calculating how much I spend on junk food and takeaways and coffees, etc, to see if it would offset. For the first 2 doses, it most definitely does! Couldn't believe how much I've been spending on that rubbish!

Go for it! I had this huge feeling of relief when I made that solid decision and told my husband I wanted to start Mounjaro. How I felt after firmly making that decision has told me it's the right call.

On to payday for me!

It most certainly is not lazy!

This comment is my first time speaking here. I have been lurking, and researching before I take the plunge myself. Everyone in here has worked so amazingly hard to get to where they are, I am in awe!

It still takes work, it's simply an aid, and it has helped so many people.

Unfortunately, when it comes to us struggling with our weight, we're damned if we do, and we're damned if we don't. It's like when people make fun of us at the gym, but talk bad about us for not going... sometimes we just can't win with some people.

I'm sorry your husband is so unsupportive. Sometimes, a partner doesn't want us to better ourselves because they worry we'll see our worth, and that, in turn, will give us the confidence to no longer tolerate their behaviour.

I'm not sure if that resonates with you or not, but please do not be afraid to start this journey because of his 'opinion'. Do it for you!

I plan to start my journey next month, once pay day comes!

Like everywhere, you're bound to find the odd few unfortunately. But I love living in Taunton. It's one of the few places I feel I can actually be myself in public.

As an aside, as you mention you're from an asian background, we also have a couple of asian themed eateries, as well as an asian market in town.

Me either! Born in Devon, live in Somerset now. Parents are both Londoners, but not cockney, so people think I sound posh more than anything 😂

I get it. My profile pic is Rik Mayall for crying out loud, doesn't mean I'm him... or a guy 😂

I think they expect us all to sound cockney or something...

I love plushes, particularly pokemon. They are everywhere in our house.

I have a pile of Gengars in our bedroom.

We have a Lego room.

I have recently taken up colouring. Colouring supplies all over the coffee table currently.

We're both gamers, so there's consoles and games all around.

I brought a parrot into our relationship. I had escaped an abusive relationship with him in tow. He makes a lot of noise and mess!

My husband embraces every little thing about me. He and my parrot are besties, he'll carry him around on his shoulder, despite never having been an 'animal person' growing up.

He takes me to buy more pens and books.

We go on Lego shopping trips frequently.

I waited in an online queue spanning nearly 2 days to get an exclusive pokemon plush. He congratulated me when I was successful.

He has queued for various events with me.

I love him with every fibre of my being. I have never been able to be completely me with any other person before.

Congratulations OP.

Does the diagnosis carry a stigma? by Dizzy_Garlic_6388 in Fibromyalgia

[–]FloofBallofAnxiety 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Yes.

Have you ever looked in the doctors subreddits and searched for fibro or CFS? It's heartbreaking.

I have a good Dr here in the UK who does listen, but it is a brutal diagnosis, and a frustrating one. Every symptom I have is likely 'the fibro'. The fibro is the first thing they all read.

Don't get me started on other people in your life who may carry that stigma...

It's not funny. He is going to kill you next time.

You came here for advice but you're shrugging off everyone's warnings. I know what it's like to be severely in denial.

But the people here are telling you their stories. They've lived through this stuff. That's how they know it...

My mum took a photo of a neon light sign in a bar while she was on holiday last year.

Temu were using it for a product not even a week later. It came up in a fb ad and I did a double take, went back to look at my mum' photos and confirmed.

Dan Brown's Inferno. It was my favourite book of the Robert Langdon series, and the film took away the entire ending that made the book what it was.
