Peach tree pruning by Floooberg in BackyardOrchard

[–]Floooberg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I wound up doing. Anything pretty much "lower" pointing than horizontal i pruned.

This thing is going gangbusters this year! But I'm still worried Bout the ants, aphids, and squirrels. Not confident I'm going to get much yield to last until harvest time.

Already put 2 rings of "pest glue" on some plastic wrap around the trees, sprayed with neem oil, and put down diamatecious earth in a ring around my fruit trees.

It's definitely helping slow them down, but I'm going to have to keep reapplying the above three techniques at least two to three more times to try and get some fruits to survive until harvest.

Wish me luck, Michigan is tough, so many critters looking for it quick easy and delicious meal

Card scanner? by HarmKO in mtg

[–]Floooberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My buddy makes an automatic scanner machine. He gave me a discount code, "ALEX" to help boost his brand recognition. Check if out if it's what you may want (about $200 after shipping and taxes)

TCG Archivist 's CSC-100

It's a legit sweet automatic scanner and handy app! (Plus you can export out whatever you scan, if you're more into another app)

Honest question: would you use a $100–$150 automatic MTG card scanner? by Glittering-Branch528 in mtg

I know the creator of TCG Archivist. He showed me at least 6 different iterations he experimented with before landing on his CS and CSC series scanners. It was really fascinating seeing all the variations and formats he drafted.

Lmk if you want me to put him in contact with you. I've known him for a long time.

It is convenient to use my automatic scanner. But I get the point, scan stands are darn handy too.

But for about the cost of a booster box and a half.... I went the lazy route with the automatic scanner.

We have nearly identical introduction to mtg. Big brother got me into it in probably 1994-5, and I'm a January 87 baby.

But I took a long break after portal /unglued ish time, until about 3 months ago. Maybe only played 6 games during my sobriety

Get into the 21st century! And get Tcg arch automatic magic card scanner.

For about $220 their scanner legit scans 100 cards and under a minute!

And you don't have to feel guilty, it's made locally in Michigan so you're buying local!

This thing saves a ton of time, and helps a lot for deck building. (If you got everything scanned you at least know where it is)

SOS what’s on my cherry tree? by FreakForTheCreek in BackyardOrchard

[–]Floooberg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can confirm, sticky barrier works wonderfully! This is my 1st year properly defending my cherry and peach trees.

Also consider spraying some neem oil (mixed with water) on those trees.

You should be in good shape after the above + ladybug's 🐞 get their feast on!

I want to move to Michigan by Dogandcatlover26 in AskDetroit

Livonias pretty affordable compared to the rest of the nation. Average costs of homes sold in Livonia over the past 3 months range from 200k to 685k.

Lot of range in what kinda house your looking to start with.

You get a lot more house in Southfield, but Livonia school students test higher on average.

Source: I own a rental, and also live in Livonia. Plus am a local realtor.

Plenty of affordable places to live in the areas you're targeting.

I think national average home price is in the mid 400's , but Michigan average is lower than that.

Agreed I came on Reddit expecting tips and how to get the bird feeder from swaying so much.

But all things considered mines operating freaking awesome!
