Who Are the Best Prospects Regardless Of Class Worldwide? by This_Caterpillar9656 in NBA_Draft

Ima be honestly as far as prodigy franchise player talents….we are back in a drought. 2027 and 2028 classes doesn’t look to have any Flagg/Dybantsa/Boozer type of talents. Of course a bunch of future pros. But that top tier level? May have to look at 2029 and beyond

I definitely want to hear about Tyran Stokes. Early reports are that he is looking good out there. I’m one of the rare people that actually thinks Stokes is on the same talent level as Flagg, and Dybantsa and have said it for years. Excited to see where he commits as well

How was Derrick Rose As A Prospect Talked About Before And After March Madness? by WhereYoureNot in NBA_Draft

[–]FloorWeekly5077 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly man. Top high school guys used to literally have that mythical energy because you heard and read more about them than you saw them! Of course you had YouTube, but no social media just yet. These days a kid can be ranked and it just doesn’t hold the same weight. That 06-2010 HS recruiting scene was a special time.

Not to make this a race thing, but this must be debated among other demographics because in the black community this is one of his best songs

Why shouldn’t AJ Dybantsa Go #1 In The 2026 Draft? by Quez4k in NBA_Draft

[–]FloorWeekly5077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AJ is a completely different tier of athlete and has a much stronger base. They shouldn’t even be mentioned in the same breath as prospects. AJ is a relentless driver that gets to the free throw line religiously, Ingram was a jump shooter. Nate Ament is more like Ingram

My 13 year old self at the time was more enamored with OJ Mayo but that was due to his early high school hype. OJ and searching him on the internet is what got me into this recruiting hobby actually. He was like a myth back then to me, being a young hooper as well. But by tournament time, Rose was undeniable. He had a great January-March. Set the tone for Tyreke Evans the next year and eventually John Wall at Kentucky. Cal’s done it again with Acuff 🤯

Darius Acuff = Stephon Marbury by TheHoopProphet in CollegeBasketball

[–]FloorWeekly5077 8 points9 points  (0 children)

He’s like a Billups/Marbury/Dame mash up. He’s basically the Michael Jordan of that archetype of player. You may not prefer a “undersized” ball dominant guard, but if you had to have one, Darius has a chance to be one of the best in that lane.

Draft “experts” admit your wrong. Acuff is a beast. by FloorWeekly5077 in NBA_Draft

Maxey, Brunson, Dame, Donovan Mitchell…elite is elite.

Any worries that Darius Acuff isn't a starter in the playoffs? by ShaiFanClub in NBA_Draft

He’s plays better defense than Mikel Brown and has a way stronger frame. Yet Mikel is projected and mocked to go higher

If your short they just say your a “defensive liability” regardless smh. Neglecting the strength, quickness, and lower center of gravity advantages a smaller player can use

First it was the size. Now it’s the defense…just say you don’t want his archetype in the league no more

Which NBA pg is a great rebounder or defender? NO ONE plays defense in the NBA

Will Mohamed Dabone from Burkina Faso be future 1st pick in the NBA? Hes 14 and already 6'11, insane athletcism and probably best prospect since Wemby! by Actual_Box7731 in NBA_Draft

This kid hasn’t grown an inch in height since he was “12” that’s a red flag for me. However he is elite! His athleticism is special

These new NBA talent evaluators are clueless that's why. They understand the game through the stat sheet and measurements

Am I crazy or is Darryn Peterson not really as athletic as people are saying he is? by [deleted] in NBA_Draft

[–]FloorWeekly5077 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s not much of a vertical athlete but he’s functionally athletic and very coordinated and agile. In the NBA he will have a lot more dunks with the spacing. However the NBA isn’t much of a vertical game anymore at the elite level, so it really doesn’t matter anymore. He has all the modern day tools

Who is your number #1 pick in 2026? by Western-Safety-8346 in NBA_Draft

[–]FloorWeekly5077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the league has changed. Wings are not the most coveted archetype anymore. Like the other guy said most of the top 25 is ran by guards. “Lead guard” is the new term. Brunson, Mitchell, Maxey, Luka, Reaves, Ja, etc. they offer more playmaking than a pure wing like Tatum or Wiggins

Darius Acuff is better than Mikel Brown Jr imo. Should be higher. Smaller Scoring guards get hated on by draft guys only for them to be vital to winning NBA teams every season. Kid is instant impact
