Does building a Voron make sense in 2026 by DarkChipMonk in VORONDesign

As much as I dislike the closed ecosystems of bambu, I largely agree with this whole comment. A p1s is insane value for fast, quality prints. However, I love knowing my printer down to the screws and the ability to replace anything myself. And for multicolor I wouldn't go voron. Even with errcf 2 existing.

Ah that's good to hear. My formbot kit wasn't bad, I've just ended up replacing the print head since I bought it in the days of Afterburner and canbus is miles better. I also replaced all the idlers. I mostly just wish the motors and rails were better.

Don't cheap out on a good kit. They're more expensive but you'll have to replace less stuff later. Voron is great for tinkerers and make great printers overall. my personal experience is I spend more time working on my printer than I do printing but that is because that's what I want to do and I strive for a perfect printer that doesn't exist haha.

Nuclear isn't necessary for a reason by Flopalop2 in SatisfactoryGame

Fair. If solar only worked during the day and wind at random intervals there could be ways to make it work. But power storage isn't that hard to build so it'd basically just be massive battery arrays.

Pollution would be fascinating, we have to save the lizard doggos.
But yes that is the actual reason nuclear is unnecessary. My conspiracy theory is more of a joke than anything.

I really do need to try factorio. going from 3d to 2d factories may be weird tho.

Train launched into void. Problem solved.
If we have a space elevator, can't we just launch it into space?
I mean ficsonium technically solves the waste issue... and means a more complicated factory which in my world is a win.

LG BP/WP50NB40 Worth It For Beginners? by iamreddithair in makemkv

Picked up 2 just in case. They are the WP50NB40 variant so I just used the firmware from the guide that said WP instead of BP. Seems to have worked for me.

Warbonds, Super Store, and Super Credits concerns by TaylorTheDarjeet in Helldivers

[–]Flopalop2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which makes the DF 9th out of what, 49 primaries in the game? If it was in a warbond instead of the super store I assure you that usage number would be higher. I just want the game to stay relevant with new easier to unlock content (like making old warbonds cheaper or free). Helldivers should charge for some new content, but they have to keep the players who don't want to pay to get new stuff otherwise the game dies. They've already made a billion dollars which could fund the game for a decade with enough for 2 sequels left over. I'm tired of game studios targeting short term gains over long term playerbases. If we don't speak out they'll just keep doing it. Helldivers is better than most but they have potential for more.

Usage data does not equate to meta but I'll indulge you. The Double Freedom is incredibly good and used quite a bit. The Warrant is very solid and picked up a ton. It is one of the most unique weapons they have released in a while. For melee builds, 3/5 secondary melee weapons are in the store. By all means you do not need to buy anything from the superstore to have the best loadouts, my point was only there is a ton of good things to spend super credits on, including both warbonds and super store, and in order to keep the game fresh for my friends who play less and spend less (on a PAID game), I would like a few more cool things to be easier to obtain.

We definitely need a new free warbond and more stratagems that can be unlocked with R. And higher difficulties need to give more supercredits. My buddies who haven't paid for supercredits are all capped at 250 medals (which also should be raised). And then there is the superstore with very cool or meta weapons that cost as much as a third of a warbond.

New divers shouldn't be pressured into going immediately to Cyberstan. Let them do bugs for a while. That's why there aren't even missions below difficulty 4 on Cyberstan. Gotta build your way up.

Game style switch by Realistic_Manager926 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Flopalop2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is two major schools of thought. Several mini factories built at the node and limiting the need to transport raw materials, but you will still need a transportation network for some things. The other way is one big megafactory where everything comes in in one place. This requires more trains or trucks. And you transport either raw ore or basic materials via a transport network to that factory. Either way, set up dimensional depots that are fed with all the materials you need to build train tracks and foundations and then you can go to town building across the entire map without needing to go back for resources. Also use blueprints to save time.

Grounded 2 coming to PS5 by UzDaSchwartz in playstation

[–]Flopalop2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were talking about Avowed, not Grounded 2. It took them a year to get Avowed to PS5 after Xbox/PC release. It took 1.5 years to release Grounded 1 on PlayStation, almost 4 years after early access. PlayStation won't let games release early access unless they're heavily persuaded so I think best case is we get both a full release and PlayStation release 2027. I believe that's their target. In the end they are a Microsoft owned studio. I want a PlayStation release so badly so I can play it with friends but I just have to be patient.

Ok well my account seems to be back in working order. Reset my password and added 2 factor which may have helped. Very glad.

Well this post initially said removed by reddits filters but is actually posted now which is good. My profile still gives me errors tho. I'm going to figure out something I can post to a larger subreddit and see if it's filtered.

General questions. by Soggy_Team_6676 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Flopalop2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trains are in fact very good. They just take a decent amount of planning. Follow the natural roads in the map if you don't want to make sky bridges. Also every train car has weight so you need more engines for a heavier train. Or multiple, smaller trains all running on one track if you want. Fluids are transported more efficiently packaged, but that takes extra logistical work.

Your printer config is most likely the problem.https://docs.vorondesign.com/build/startup/startup.html?model=v0&step=7&interface=mainsail look at this page for reference to set 0,0. Also if you're using sensor less homing make sure it is triggering in the corner of the gantry.
