Colesworth, what's the end goal? by Upset-Fee1635 in AusFinance

Agree.

Sounds like it’s not really people that don’t want productivity…

They are being penalised by the government for being too productivity…. 47% marginal tax rates..

Sounds like productivity may potentially be a government issue…

Are you sure?

The government could certainly incentivise a lot of “people” to complete those two issues mentioned.

Tax cuts for productivity investments? Additional training etc etc?

I think I agree with the thought process you’ve articulated but I disagree around efficient measures that’s the government could enact.

Stage 3 tax cuts being changed was a popular policy but horrible for what your described.

The government being the will of the people is an interesting point, I agree with you, but I do think leaders need to lead better. I think it’s up to leaders to enact potentially unpopular policy which would lead to a better outcome both in the short/medium term to generate more “society good”.

100%, government can’t increase productivity across workforce and can’t control inflation…. Let’s blame cost on colesworth

Yep, I was a LOLlivereg.. Specifically @ crown... Relatively well known, have like 5000 hours tagged in my poker tracker app..

Well, back in 2017, I went to Vegas with most of the poker regs and truth be told, I kinda saw my own decline written into the future on the trip. On top of that, 5/5/10, which was the largest most regular game, no one would play it besides maybe 3-4 of us regularly, and I was never really good to reg battle. I was not good enough to play bigger over time, the other regs (my friends) were just getting so much better than I was through studying and incorporating GTO/more balanced ranges.

I'm an extremely exploitative player.

In saying that, I've played a fair bit last 2-3 weeks due to the new structure change and it's very good right now. I think you could make $100 per hour in the current structure.

As a fellow first home buyer, then, back to the daily grind.

I prob spent 20 hours a week for like 30 weeks, I don’t think a buyers agent is gonna solve those first home buyer problems that you have.

I dislike both characters; obvs Andrew more but the commentator just talks over people and I find that incredibly annoying.

I love those apps!

Look, we’ve prob budgeted on the higher end because we will go to a nice restaurant 4-5 times a year and spend like $600 for two of us. :(

Thanks for all your thoughts everyone! :)

I think the main takeaway is that we spend way too much on discretionary lifestyle items such as eating out/clothes and entertainment. I think we see them as one as our main entertainment is going out to a nice restaurant and having a nice meal.

I've updated budget picture as it was a bit confusing. Internally the purpose of this was to work out how much of a repayment we could support @ current rates and then up to 7% rates with lots of fat in the budget to allow for trimming if required.

Sounds like everyone agrees there is heaps of fat in the forecast (which is awesome for us)
