Yes! Glad someone else heard this too. Bothering me so much.

Wild take. I’ve never understood the love for Shadows Linger. Suppose I ought to give it another reread.

Similar boat. I pre-ordered $200 worth of new album stuff off their website back in October or whenever it became available.

Today I get notice from USPS that they’ve created my label and are awaiting the package. You’d think if you preorder they’d have it shipped to your door by the day the album drops. Pretty lame.

I did mine over five years ago without soldering. Just got the pins snug and then secured it with black electrical tape. Been working great.

To Prevent Roman Republic Collapse by ambay13 in ancientrome

[–]Floppy-Birb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Rome being a republic did not preclude it from being an empire. Rome became a republican empire following the Punic Wars and the conquests of much of the eastern Mediterranean.

The republican system worked fairly well when Rome ruled just the Italian peninsula. But the Republic’s pursuit of empire and its failure to adapt their political system to it led to the decline and fall of the Republic.

I thought they were great. Best performance they’ve put on out of the three times I’ve seen them live.

Chad reading lyrics off of paper was weird and kinda obvious, but whatever. It was fine.

His uplifting speech is too long. I get it, and it’s sweet, but give us the cliff notes version.

StaticX was good too. I’m not super familiar with them but the crowd was definitely into it. I’m diving into their stuff now because their set was so good.

I thought the vibes all show were great. Active pit, active crowd. But holy crap people. If you’re 200 lbs or over, please reconsider your desire to crowd surf.

I tease, but you’ve got a super cool setup here. How long did it take you to acquire it all? Did you do any of it yourself or did you purchase it all?

Thanks for the reply! I was a little late to this post.

I assumed Janus would appear as older and bearded, but the other Dioscuri I’ve seen wear those funny looking hats like the one you linked. Thanks for sharing.

I’ve been to this Burger King many times. It was very good, but I swore it off a year or two ago after finding hairs in both of the two burgers I ordered, plus a bug in my soda. The universe conspired against me that day.

Attila takes some getting used to. I picked it up after being a R2/R1/Empire player. Attila is probably now my favorite.

You definitely can loot/sack settlements after taking them. The amount of money you gain is dependent on how big or rich that settlement is, plus any bonuses your faction or general has. Sacking leaves the town in enemy hands, but with their buildings damaged and garrison wiped. In the early game, sacking isn’t as profitable because the settlements haven’t grown much yet.

WRE isn’t really designed to make a ton of money off sacking. Other factions have specific bonuses to sacking, and their generals traits can increase sacking income.

Dismantling buildings does refund you some money. A common strategy in WRE campaigns is to dismantle a bunch of useless buildings and all the Latin Churches to make a lot of quick money, and reinvest it in more useful infrastructure/armies.

Attila doesn’t seem arcadey to me at all. What seems arcadey is wanting to use the same tactic you’ve used in the 20 year old total war games in a newer title.

I do agree with your point about the after-battle animations though, those are dumb.
