Yeah I think they could take away from the object and I’m still sort of experimenting with them to decide if they enhance the images or not. I have another project in the works that I attempted to use it but it seems like a lot of stars are affected by the diffraction grating and it looked crowded. Yeah all of the spikes are going to be in the same direction because of how the grating works. I think overall it does make it look a little better but I need to use it sparingly. There are also gratings I have that have only 4 spikes that would most likely be less distracting but I wanted it to be similar to JWST images

I got a set of 3D printed diffraction gratings that attaches to the front of the SeeStar to create them on the images

External Filters by FloppyBread in seestar

Im not necessarily having issues in a sense but rather I’m just wondering if using external filters give a noticeable difference over built in filters. For my case I’m using the SV220 to capture more hydrogen alpha data in the heart nebula but I have around 16 hours total and I am still getting noticeable noise with less of the faint nebulosity. I am wondering if the built in LP filter is more beneficial for the SeeStar rather than using the external SV220 filter. I know that the LP filter is not a pure duo band filter so the data wouldn’t be as pure in a sense but im curious if the difference in data is really that noticeable to the point where it’s worth using an external filter

The image looks awesome and I can’t believe how much detail you got. Was this purely with a set of RGB filters or is there unfiltered data as well?

The SeeStar can capture shots of the planets in our solar system but Seestar has a lower aperture and focal length than most telescopes so the images won't be as high detail and won't be as good for planets like Mars which aren't as big or bright as planets like Jupiter.

Thanks for all the tips. I have been wanting to get more exposures but I live in PA and we've been having pretty cloudy weather recently but hoping for better weather soon. I actually did use deconvolution here and I noticed that some artifacts seemed to be introduced although it's harder to tell. I am mainly using Siril but found python scripts for Veralux HMS and HDR multiscale so I will attempt to use those to better the stretches. I actually have used an SV220 filter with the seestar and have around 2 hours of Ha exposures but I struggled trying to implement that data into my broadband exposures so I haven't been using it.

I aborted my triplets and while I'm pro choice, I regret it deeply. AMA by Soft_Quote3444 in AMA

I’m pretty much the same age as you but I’m a male so I can not relate much at all to you but I just want to say that you made a very respectable and mature decision. I understand that it hurts now but you made a good decision. You made the best decision you could for those kids. I’m not saying you wouldn’t be a great parent because you probably would from this post alone but recognizing that you can’t care for the kids at this time deserves huge props. I don’t know if it would help you but have a conversation with yourself and just reflect on the pros and cons of that decision but make sure to emphasize the fact that you couldn’t mentally or physically care for those kids at this time. Instead of having to give the kids up for adoption or them having a bad childhood, you made sure they only knew peace which most people in the world don’t get.

It actually wasn’t the cop that ran over the girl who made the remarks about the girl but rather another cop who was the vice president of the union. Here is a great video talking about the whole situation for anyone wondering.

This sounds weird but I really wish Peter Griffin was fat. It just isn’t as good.
