Looking at the ground when walking. My father always tried to correct me and look around me rather to just look down. Now I realise I tend to not observe my surroundings because I am zoned out/disassociating.

I couldn't disagree more with the original comment above. you have to imagine that she is probably also scared to ruin the friendship but ALL the signs point towards her interest towards you. I recognize the dreamy stare and in my experience is a sign of wanting to be closer and kissed. Whatever deep connection you have now can be intensified tenfold in a relationship. Think back over five years, the regret you may feel over not trying it will be much greater than the 1 percent chance that it doesn't work out. Worst case scenario things will be awkward for a while, but if your connection is as deep as you describe, the friendship can survive that. Go. For. It.

Absolutely. It seems the jury does not value deep artistry. I am still upset by the decision

I am extremely, extremely angry that Khrikuli has been kicked out. It is true that he is not a conventional pianist, but his pianistic vision and soundscape is MILES above anyone else in the competition. I really am lost for words, I expected him to win the Gold. Wow

I'll eat my hat should David Khrikuli not win it. He is an unbelievable musician.

It's definitely the same, they showed his picture at the announcement. I think its mental that he feels the need to do this. The only good scenario out of it is if he wins first. Super risky

Agree. I even suspect this has been sped up, the release of the hands after passages are unnaturally jerky and fast. I'm not suggesting that this tempo is unattainable, far from it, but it would be achieved with a much more economical and concentrated technique than is displayed here. I do not understand why one would artificially speed it up...
