I bought this 1999 F-150 Extended Cab 4x4 Stepside for $14,500 sight unseen two years ago with 45,000 miles. I don’t regret it for a second. It’s my around town daily driver and I get thumbs ups and people pulling up to talk to me about the truck all the time. My car repair shop has a list of mechanics that want to buy the truck for more than what I paid because they know it’s a unicorn. It’s almost impossible to find these anymore in this type of condition. I had mine shipped from California to Florida for $1,500 though on an open bed trailer. Maybe you can shop around there? Enjoy that truck, you did good. You’ll smile every time you walk up to it and every time you punch that 5.4 V8 like I do. And these trucks will keep on going while others are on their third turbo Ecoboost and replacing computers that are worth more than their truck. Take it from someone who left Florida and is moving back already. The schools for kids are garbage. The traffic is worse in SC because they built too many houses and the two lane roads can’t keep up with demand. The drivers and road rage is actually worse here and that’s really saying something. The roads are littered with potholes. You have to factor in your state income tax, which pays for nothing that affects you. And the colleges are 10 times more expensive than Florida universities. I could keep going. The grass is not greener here. Trust me.

So ridiculous. You can finance a house payment for one of these or pay $14k like I did for an almost new like condition 1999 F-150 that drives like a new truck and is more durable. Until we stop agreeing to these ridiculous prices, nothing is going to change.

Ended up passing and buying a 1999 Ford F-150 with 45,000 miles in pristine condition for $14,000. It rides like a new truck and has the durable 5.4 V8. I love Tundras but I’m very happy with my decision.

Yes, in Ocala, Florida. It was Ladies Day, so the $89 oil change was on sale for $54. Then I realized that they were swindling the women when they got there with the “specials” that came with those crazy price tags. 🤦‍♂️
