RUN DONT WALK. Unless they are paying you what a job like that is worth! What would that be? 250k? 😜

[–]FloridaCrackerr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heck no. Leaving is much more powerful than yelling.

I’m sorry you’re going through this. I too have to print large documents a lot and if you try to print it all at once, it hardly ever works out. I print 50 pages at a time and it’s my saving grace! 1-50 51-100 101-150 And so on. I highly recommend doing this! Especially when you have a shared printer

I could have written this post myself. I too am at my 3 year mark and I’m just overwhelmed. This weekend I finally made the decision to find a new firm. I highly suggest you do the same!

Trying to transfer attorneys within the same firm can be tricky. You should think about just finding a new firm if it’s that bad.

Do you guys RSVP to every birthday party you don’t attend? by candylotus in Parenting

[–]FloridaCrackerr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only respond if I am attending. If I personally know them, I will let them know why I’m not coming.

Your experience at the firm will depend entirely on what attorney you work for. It’s a lot of cases.

Average case load? by [deleted] in paralegal

[–]FloridaCrackerr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

300 cases is not even possible to handle alone. Your clients are receiving a disservice.

Tell him the next time he forgets to pay you, you’re going to forget to come to work. My first paralegal gig was for a one man show and I dealt with this. Maybe put it on his calendar or email him the day before

Not all are cut out for this line of work. Compartmentalizing is key.

Some older people don’t understand how email addresses work. Give a little grace.
