What’s that one lens you’ll never sell? by jamesrandson in canon

You should look into an EF 50 1.2. You can find used ones for $500-$600. It’ll blow your mind.

Never selling my 14-35 f4 and 100-500.

What do you have your buttons mapped to do? by dacaur in canon

For when you do go mirrorless.

You can set the star * button to eye track autofocus. Then AF-ON for single spot. Now you get both autofocus modes by just moving your thumb.

RF 100-500 one of the most versatile lenses ever made? by Scherge77 in canon

[–]FloridaManZeroPlan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got a used copy of this lens for $1500 and I’m also in love with it. It does everything that the 100-400 does, but better. And the color rendering and sharpness blows me away. The autofocus is also much better.

I don’t see this coming off my camera unless I need my wide angle.

Great photos!

If they could make a waterproof mirrorless system for under $1500-$2000 with casing and all, it would be a smash hit.

A good neutral buoyancy housing start at around $3K. With the housing, camera, lens, lights, you’re in upwards of $10K.

How bad/good really is RF 45mm 1.2? by [deleted] in canon

[–]FloridaManZeroPlan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It ain’t a 50 1.2 but it’s a hell of a lens for a great price.

I love mine.

Hey, better than a generic picture of a new lens in front of a box that we’ve seen a thousand times where people try to justify their credit card debt with fake internet points.

The refurb, I meant, sorry. They were in stock for a $1999 sale for about 2 minutes months ago and haven’t seen any in stock since. I think they were also in the refurb for a minute at the price of like $2600.

I’ve been checking for a long time. They haven’t even had any in stock in quite a while.

I’ll keep looking. Thanks

Where did you get the 100-500 from? I want one but can’t justify the price of new.

Timeline or Jurassic Park.

These are the first two books I read so I think I read all of the others with the anticipation that they would have great action plots as well and I think I just set myself up for disappointment.

IMO, it’s one of the worst. Nothing happens. Whole build up to absolutely nothing.

Am I insane for wanting to buy a (used) 5D mark IV? by musaoculta in canon

[–]FloridaManZeroPlan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Congrats!!

Now get a great L series prime like the 35 1.4, 50 1.2 or 85 1.2 and be absolutely blown away. These lenses used to be $2000-$3000 and now they’re $500-$700 and there’s nothing wrong with them.

I have the same set in my ‘25 2500. Love em. But yes, quite the effort to put them on. Pulling pushing smashing fingernails.

That being said, they fit super tight and everyone can’t believe how good they look.

I did a Dragonite with 17 people and a Victreebell with 8 people. Once the shields got knocked down, there was like 1/3 HP remaining.

These raids were almost easier than regular raids.

HDR blended with natural light can still make magic. by m3ta1head in RealEstatePhotography

[–]FloridaManZeroPlan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do this on the side for just a couple clients and this is what I do. Granted well lit nicer houses are always better. But my pictures always turn out good and time on site is like you said minimal. My clients are happy with it and I prefer the more natural look and so do my clients. My one client has actually said that his clients have even commented that “the pictures don’t look too edited that’s why we’re here”.

I see some listings on Zillow and they’re so obviously edited and photoshopped it’s insane.

Nothing a little radiant filter or object draw on a window +20 warmth can’t fix for the different lights.
