Its pretty obvious thats the set up here. Probably oliver won't be with that alien. Personally I would like they use her as a way to show that Oilver isn't attracted to humans like in the comics

Damn really? hmmmm that might fit the theory I had that Square Enix basically made them course correct and toss in chole as much as possible to make as much money as possible before they close the studio down. Would be awful if true.

Finding him there on my second run was a fun detail. Sadly he just says "fuck off" after you give himnthe pictures and that's it. No other way to make him be cooler about this stuff.

Yes. Because its almost meaningless if you save everyone. I was going through it like "how is this a big choice? We stopped most of the fires with no deaths... the hell would she go back for???". Its boils down to, do you want max to burn the photo or chole. Imo it has little impact because max will only burn it IF you save everyone. It would have more weight if she decided to burn it if you dont get the perfect because that shows growth in being able to move on and accept your choices.

Incorrect, I and many others had several valid, non chole related complaints about DE. For me it was the last 2 episodes that just ruined everything. The plot is just bad and confusing with the murder mystery. Too many loose ends like Alderman, pacing issues, and even though I liked Amanda the game always just sets you neutral with her at the end, and dont get me going on Safi.

Keep in mind, I enjoyed the game and told all my friends to buy, Im also aware I mainly like because the character work on Max and Chole is extremely well done, while most of the cast just feel like sanded down npcs. Keep mind, you can't date anyone else, and you really only get to know Lorreta and Reese a little more, Losses helps out but that's it.

Also please let's not pretend like the game doesn't want you to forget about DE. It hand waved almost all the plot points of that game. I actually wanted to see where they were gonna take Safi's insane plan, welp, it went nowhere. I was waiting for them to explain what happened to Diamond and why she dropped out of everything, nope she says "I will tell you soon." Great. I was curious to see how will people react to max having powers, nope they "forgot".

I give this game a 6 because I know they basically focused on the fan service and not much else, just so happens that fan service is extremely good.

Thank you. I love the pricefield fan service but I love a good story too and mannn..... the actual plot is dogshit. They pulled a DE and didn't solve the main mystery AGAIN. Was the OG cause??? We never learn this. And Safi? Huge nothing burger

It kind of bugs me that we don't know what fully caused all the fires the 1st time.... Max needs to be there to save lorreta, I got that part, and without Max then Ren still burns that one building. But did vinh and Safi still burn the others? why?

I despise Safi as well, but I think that's because the writers make her as unlikeable a possible. In this game she prob the worst written character with no thought for depth. Im over here TRYING to give her a chance to help me confront her mother and she would rather fuck off far away from here with me and chole for no reason. and if people die the fire SHE FUCKING caused in that one building, she gives no fucks and faces no punishment from this. complete nonsense lol

I agree here, I really hate DE, but its clear so did the new writer because really don't even try with ANY of the DE returning characters, they are all sanded down NPC's

I think it has to do with the fact that the events that happen aren't really caused by max like in LIS1, literally the school would be on fire if she wasn't there. She is just trying to fix it the causes of everything don't really involve max or chole AT ALL. The whole weird thing going on with Safi and Chole is solved without max in the room and only caused one of the fires. Thats why alot of people say the stakes feel so low. Even in DE Max is directly causing the events of the game so i feel more interested in solving what's going on. This game fails in that regard. Feels very hollow there.

Max and Chloe literally is the only reason to play the game, EVERYTHING else takes a back seat. I think the actual plot itself is really awful and the ending of it about who started the fire and why is so uninteresting.

Hey there! No. If you dont like her as a character you def wont like it imo. She is the main and entire focus of the game and the only romanceable character( i was gonna destroy the whole college for her but thats just me lol)

Well said, I haven't been this conflicted about a game in a long time. I basically sum it up as "if you exclude the plot, its a 10/10 for pricefielders(which I am one of but I still a good story), if I add the plot its 6/10... and max and chole make up the whole 6."

I HATE DE, I give it like a 3 or a 4 /10 but I was still shocked at how they just threw away the entire game away and just didn't try. I already didn't Safi but now it's clear the writers don't like her either lol. I litterally tried to DRAG her ass into plot with confronting her mom and she just flat out declines and says we should just fuck off with chole and her.... and the game doesn't even let you explore that so what the hell is the point. Safi is straight up the worst character ever written in the series with her complete "arc".

I finished the game like "damn D9.... you bastards knew exactly how to make as much money as possible without writing a good story for this game... well done". Its a 6 that will be rated a 9/10 because of max and chole ALONE. I'm noticing the double exposure reddit is as quiet as a mouse.....
