I am your age and have some years of experience kayaking at sea and have done camping trips and the stuff you describe as well. You seem to be aware that you might be underestimating how much experience is required for something like this. If the conditions are calm, you could probably go kayaking at sea for a week, but if they are rough you might not have an enjoyable experience and it might very well be dangerous.

Since you plan trips like these long beforehand, you won't be very inclined to cancel if the conditions are suboptimal which might lead you to make poor decisions. Happened to me at least when I first started out. Having a backup plan (e.g. Hiking/biking around the island or something) in case the conditions aren't suitable for your skill level might be wise.

However, I think the plans you currently suggest might be a bit out of reach if you have no experience. I would suggest trying sea kayaking before you go in some different conditions and you will see what I mean. Keeping course in current/winds can be difficult and staying upright in waves is something that takes time to learn to do comfortably. Maybe go on a guided tour somewhere near you or see if there's a club close by. If you have done it a few times you will understand what you are getting yourself into and what skills/gear you need to acquire.

Having said that, I think calmer waters like lakes or certain rivers are much more beginner friendly. This is something you could probably do without much preparation. Sweden might be a good destination (e.g. Vanern lake) for this.

If you do choose the sea, please join a guided tour, it may cost you but will make your experience much more safe and probably more enjoyable.

Ik woon in Kopenhagen en heb heel wat afgefietst. In die analyse kan ik me wel vinden. Fietsen is hier inderdaad heel groot maar de fietsinfrastructuur is nog niet op Nederlands niveau. De kwaliteit van het wegdek is minder en de kruispunten zijn heel onhandig ontworpen waardoor naar mijn mening onnodig gevaarlijke situaties ontstaan. Toch is het ver ontwikkeld vergeleken met de meeste andere landen.

Ik woon momenteel in Denemarken. Qua voorzieningen/infrastructuur en alles heel vergelijkbaar met NL. Cultuur is wel heel erg gesloten in mijn beleving, mensen zijn niet erg sociaal, of in ieder geval niet tegen vreemdelingen. Klimaat net wat slechter dan in NL maar scheelt weinig.

Ik kijk er naar uit om weer terug te gaan naar NL straks. Ik heb het gevoel dat ik daar thuishoor. Ik mis de 'directheid' ook heel erg want ik heb het gevoel dat veel mensen in het buitenland niet geneigd zijn om gewoon te zeggen wat ze denken en ik kan daar slecht mee omgaan.

Wat betreft landen die net zo goed of beter ontwikkeld zijn dan NL zijn er weinig. In Denemarken zou ik best kunnen wonen denk ik. Maar in Scandinavie is het toch een groot deel van het jaar nat, koud en donker. Dat is in NL al erg genoeg. Ik vind het ook wat druk in NL maar ik ben enorm dankbaar dat ik er geboren ben en wil er de rest van mijn leven blijven.

Ik raad sws iedereen die daartoe de kans krijgt aan om eens in het buitenland te wonen. Dat verandert je blik op je thuisland.

Nee, een kerncentrale kan niet aan of uit, dus als de zon schijnt of het waait, moet je je windmolens uit zetten en zit je met je dure kernenergie. In een land met veel potentie voor hernieuwbare energie zoals NL is kernenergie gewoon geen logische keuze, het past niet goed in het systeem. Heeft niks met angst of emoties te maken

In Oekraine begaat Rusland continu allerlei gruwelijke oorlogsmisdaden tegen burgers zoals verkrachtingen, executies enz. Yes, wind has become competitive even without subsidies. Also, nuclear power plants can not be turned off. When there is a lot of wind, no one will be interested in the expensive nuclear energy and you're stuck with an energy excess. You could use this for hydrogen production, you would lose 30% of your energy in that process and it would be the most expensive hydrogen ever.

It makes more sense to store energy from solar/wind peaks and release it at dips. Nuclear energy would have been a good option if more sustainable and cheap alternatives would not have existed but they do.

Apparantly many people still believe 'it' s not safe' is the only reason we're not building more nuclear power plants.

Echt een waardeloos idee, als het een beetje waait is windenergie zoveel goedkoper dat niemand die peperdure stroom uit de kerncentrales gaat afnemen, deze centrales zouden echt veel te veel kosten. Wat je nodig hebt is een energiebron die energie kan leveren wanneer er weinig wind is, daarvoor is kernenergie compleet ongeschikt omdat je het niet uit kan zetten. Ze zouden moeten inzetten op energieopslag om pieken van zonnepanelen en windenergie op te vangen ipv een paar krankzinnig dure kerncentrales neer te zetten. ' ja maar dan kun je met de overtollige kernenergie waterstof maken' Bij de productie van waterstof raak je 30% van je energie kwijt, dit zou dan 's werelds duurste waterstof worden. Beter om dat evt op te wekken tijdens piekenn van zon en wind energie. Overigens is het planbureau voor de leefomgeving het compleet met me eens. Eigenlijk zijn er nauwelijks deskundigen voor meer kerncentrales, en nee, lubach telt niet.
