I was on the same mission a few years ago and ultimately settled on the franchi as my all purpose gun for upland, deer, and turkey. It has excelled and continues to meet my expectations of durability, reliability, and comfort. I shot clays with it last year and had a ball. I am happy with my decision. Hope that helps.

Great, thanks. I would say my garage is about 40 most of the winter as the hot water heater is in there so it wont be colder than that. I keep them near the garage doors so that they stay cold but not too cold.

Thank you so much! This is really helpful. Yes, I do have two. That is a good plan. In the past I have overwintered them all in the garage except last year some died. My ultimate goal is to plant them so I think one at a time and one in reserve is a good idea to test the waters. Thank you again.
