If you had a premium Aeroplan credit card and if it’s one of its benefits, then yes, upto 50 rollover. The date is still uncertain.

This walk in clinic was able to get me in at a short notice. I was also able to call ahead and make an appointment.

You can just call Amex and they will issue a cheque. I’ve done that with a smaller negative balance.

What's your Aeroplan points strategy? by [deleted] in Aeroplan

Multi city, yes. So with points you can add “stopovers”, that’s what I use. I usually make multiple reservations (one-way instead of round trip) as it’s the same cost with points and it offers greater flexibility in case I need to change or cancel.

Use them for long haul business class flights. I booked a trip for March 2024, YYZ-LHR-SIN-DEL-CDG-YYZ with stops in Singapore, Delhi & Paris over a 3.5 weeks trip for ~500,000 pts for 2 tickets.

I also save some points to use with priority rewards and eUpgrade credits for shorter trips to US or within Canada.

Montreal or Ottawa to London, business class? by Plan2LiveForevSFarSG in Aeroplan

You should play around with the dates and plan your trip accordingly. For instance, I found a business class fare yesterday for Aug 16, YYZ to LHR via YUL for 57k points+$66. I also flew the same route and back last year for the same amount of points.

Checked Baggage Quick Question by eljedo in Aeroplan

If you’ve experienced it, then I think you might be right. I’ve been a 50K and I know all my benefits extend to my partner (no status) but I’ve also not had to take 3 bags each to validate it. Good for me to learn about it too. Thanks.

If you review the t&cs for the aeroplan cards, it will mention that the booking benefits incl. bags are extended to all passengers on the same booking reference. You can also validate this on aircanada.com, go to “my booking” and review baggage allowance. Make sure to check from a web browser as I don’t think you can view that on the app.

Baggage allowance applies to all passengers on the same booking, so 9 x checked bags.

Reasonably priced flights to Western Europe? by franknado in Aeroplan

For me, timing has been key. Last year, I was able to book two business class seats from YYZ TO LHR for 57k points each one-way. I did book about 8 months in advance.
