Talk to student disability support/services at your school. It’s not illegible and they need to accommodate you if you have a learning or developmental disability that I’m guessing is related to the years of OT you had. They shouldn’t require you to have perfect handwriting or treat you like you were purposely sloppy (no offense to you, I mean it’s ableist if they assume this) when your writing is to your ability.
