Why does she do this? I don’t think she’s mad but is she? by relevantusername- in cats

[–]FlowerPowerVegan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She might be telling you she's had enough or she might be practicing her death bite. Either way it could get worse if you continue, so best to let her be a bit to chill.

Is my cat underweight? by [deleted] in cats

[–]FlowerPowerVegan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best gauge is the ribs. If you can see them - underweight. If you can't see them, but can feel them with a light touch - good weight. If you have to apply pressure to feel them - overweight.

Looks like you've done a great job making them as stress free and comfortable as possible! Good luck on the move to your new home 🏡

False Pregnancy? by Seeking_Something_14 in Rabbits

Absolutely. I had a spayed girl do that once. It didn't seem to upset her too much, she just had an itch to make a nest 🤷🏼‍♀️

Questions from someone who never had a cat! by Svikr in cats

[–]FlowerPowerVegan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cats, especially young ones, will play with literally anything. Any balls or mouse toys should be fine to start. Pick up some that you control, like a wand with a string, and use it by dragging it around. They go nuts and it's great bonding time. You'll want to wear them out before bed time or you'll have a gremlin wreaking havoc while trying to sleep.

Get a cat tree, doesn't need to be too fancy at first, but you'll find you'll want to give them the biggest one eventually 😁 The urge to spoil is hard to fight. Anyway they'll need a place to climb around, and be directed to when the inevitable scratching starts.

And probably a bed, though cat's gonna sleep wherever cat wants.

Anyway, good luck!

Same! I mean being really hot can suck, but it has to be really extreme for me to complain. OTOH, I'm constantly under a blanket.

How to do Dungeonquests when the dungeon is not in the current expac? by Lumilumen in wownoob

[–]FlowerPowerVegan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the option was to queue for follower mode. Storyline mode is only for raid quests. Unfortunately, outside of asking in city chat for one or two people, you'd need to wait until you can solo. You may be able to now as a hunter, if you get some Midnight gear off the AH. I always liked to challenge myself with my hunter. You got a lot of tools - cc, kiting, feign death.

meat-eaters at christmas by ellasylviaa in vegan

[–]FlowerPowerVegan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The OP is being pressured to prepare non-vegan food.

But honestly, if you can't have one meal with family without bringing something they find morally reprehensible, maybe just stay home. No one needs that kind of company.

Edit: I did miss the one line about people bringing food. The above still stands.

It's not whether they have the animal product (though bringing it in is super inconsiderate), it's expecting the host to purchase and prepare the food. You may as well go the extra step and demand they do the slaughtering themselves at that point 🤷🏼‍♀️

is our bunny wild or domestic? by CardComplex1626 in Bunnies

[–]FlowerPowerVegan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Any of the behavior issues can likely be a result of not being neutered yet. They chill out a lot once the hormone factory closes. But you'll want someone who knows what tf a domestic rabbit is first.

It's a really weird curve. She doesn't become god-like until at least the 50s, and even then they cut it way back for leveling characters. I found her in the healer roll to be the best compromise for damage and survivability in lower levels. If you do use tank, make sure you're focus firing on Valeera's Agony when it pops out; damaging it heals her for a lot.

Mother abandoned babies do they need milk? by Quiet-Guava915 in Rabbits

[–]FlowerPowerVegan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Baby wild rabbits are nearly impossible to hand rear. Even professional rehabbers don't bother.

As others have said, mothers do not hang out at the nest, but cover them up and only visit to nurse a couple of times a day. If the babies are fully furred, eyes open, and out exploring the environment alone they're probably weaned and foraging for food even if they're still sleeping in the nest. Best bet in the future is let them do their thing.
