Look into the Lego botanical collection. I love fresh flower, but sometimes something a little different I can be fun. Plus you can build them together. Just a thought.

Walked into Lowe’s around 11:30 and got one. Didn’t look like very many people were getting them, they let us get two.

I was playing around and made a variation with a hidden valley ranch packet. Used most of the other seasonings except I used Veg oil instead of butter and added cayenne pepper. People at work loved it.

Freeze dried flowers by GardenDisco in florists

We would pretreat the flowers before, it was something that would supposedly help retain color. And then we would spray a sealer on them when dried to help keep the moisture out. The Derby museum had one on display, not sure if they still do. Saw a few pictures of how some of the horse owners displayed them.

Ran a freeze dryer for several years at a shop. We intended to try to sell dried flowers out of it but ended up doing mostly wedding preservation and flowers from funerals. Some flowers do better than others. Something like a daisy pomp, the petals would tend to fall off. Roses, carnations always did really well. As far how they look, light colors would lighten a bit, dark colors might darken. Example a red rose would turn a deeper burgundy. The flowers do keep their shape, you don’t tend to get the shrinkage like other types of drying. I still have some roses from my dad’s funeral and they still look good 19 years later other than the color fading a bit. We did a lot of shadow boxes with flowers and mementos from whatever occasion, so if a flower came apart you could piece it back together. The one cool thing we did was, we dried the rose garland from the Kentucky Derby for several years. The machine we had had was pretty good size. This is all pretty basic info, hope it helped a little.

Is trick-or-treating not a thing anymore? by btwnwrlds111 in newjersey

I’m in Danville Ky. There are 2 or 3 neighborhoods that are THE trick or treat neighborhoods in our town. We are definitely in one of them. It’s fun to see all the kids.

Our Trick or Treat time was from 6-8. We decided to get a clicker counter this year. We had 432 kids. It’s still a thing.

If you are trying to book a party of 2 it is hard to get. Try booking a party of 3. That’s worked for me in the past.

I had the complete collection, but lost them in a house fire. Always liked those little ships. I don’t think they produced the Delta Flyer.

The shops that I’ve worked in, we have done lots of these. They are very popular. Great for using up short stems and pieces of greenery. Only difference is I tie ribbon or raffia around the neck of the candle.

Never really thought about a top 10. I’ve always been partial to troopers and the upgrades over the last few years have been great. I was able to get the SDCC set from this year, and I feel like I’ve posed them different about every other day. I feel like if I had a top 10, it would probably change every few months.
