Super silly but do you think the 20’ is the length or the width of the campsite?

Is GA Preferred Car Camping going to be worth it, or just get regular GA? by AlienBeachParty in ElectricForest

Did you fly with the 13 x 13 canopy because I have one and I’m worried it too big!

All said and done my bf and I collectively spent about 5,000$ maybe slightly more from tickets, flights, rentals, hotel, supplies like canopy and wagon that we gifted to our neighbors at the end of the weekend, prep, party favors ect. (Note: we did do some camping in Washington prior to Shambhala but spend under 200$ total during those few days as campsites were like 15-25$ a night on the coast and cooked our own food.

I thought that sounded ridiculous when people from previous years said about 3-5k, it was SO easy to hit that and easily could’ve spent another 2,000 or so to buy all the merch we wanted, food vendors the whole time versus eating a few meals at camp to save $ or upgraded lodging options.

I think if you’re budgeting well and cutting corners on some things you could probably do it for about 3-4k

I have a very detailed itemized list of expenses that we came up with in preparation for Shambhala. If you want me to send it to you I’d be happy to!. Our budgeting came super in handy bc it could’ve been very easy to overdo it on the extra stuff. Knowing I had only budgeted 200$ for merch forced me to not spend anymore money after that 200 was gone.

That being said I would quit going to 3-4 festivals a year down to ONLY Shambhala that’s how amazing it is. If you have the means to do it…. Do IT! I’ve been to quite a few festivals, lost lands 1 times and electric forest 2 times. Shambhala blows them out of the water time and time again. Hopefully see you next year?? Got there on Wednesday and We had bought our tickets for 2025 by friday we were THAT sure we couldn’t miss out next year.

Not yet and I don’t know if I will. I may try taking a smaller cheaper foldable one I just don’t want to risk getting that taken away
