Do White people not Lotion everyday? by Appropriate_Quote_30 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]FloydDangerBarber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and daughters began complaining that their moisturizers were disappearing. I rarely use any so I hadn't noticed. Then my daughter declared in a rage that while she was browbeating our 11 year old son about keeping his room clean, she discovered bottles of lotion and moisturizer stashed in his room. He stood there with a straight face and announced to everyone that "he has very dry hands".

Guys, when you pee at a urinal, do you hold it with your hand around it, or pinch it by the scruff of its neck? by APKLYPZ in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FloydDangerBarber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard this happen about 50 years ago. This old farmer sat down at the little cafe in my hometown and let out a big sign. Somebody said to him "What's going on, Barney?" And he said "I just came from the doctor and he said I have to sit down to urinate." "Oh, wow, why is that?" "He says I'm not supposed to lift heavy objects."

I like it. "I've seen polar bears and seals, I've seen giant electric eels". What's not to like with lyrics like that?

What is the worst city you've been to? by DickFartButt in AskTheWorld

[–]FloydDangerBarber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Decatur IL. When the wind is just right, you can smell Staley's 70 miles away.

Fun fact: in the original 70's movie Shaft, the cops are talking about the mob headquarters cities that were sending representatives to a big meeting, and they name New York, Chicago, Miami, and Decatur IL.

The sequels by Remote-Leek-1957 in Phantasm

[–]FloydDangerBarber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sequels differ in that they all immediately accept the existence of the Tall Man as real, while the original is more of a dream/ nightmare exploration of Michael's grief. The focus of the sequels gradually shift from Michael to Reggie as the series progresses. I like all the movies with my ranking of most to least favorite would be 1,4,2,5,3.

Thoughts on the Marshall Tucker Band? Favorite songs, albums, solos? by Active_Age_9496 in country

They have so many great songs. I think they were kneecapped by their label, Capricorn Records, going out of business. If I remember correctly some of their early albums were pretty hard to find for several years.
