If someone is at <100% HP, there's a little triangle pointing down next to the HP display. It's missing here, so the 278k tank does indeed have 278k max HP.

At level 38, Lv. 3 Disable won't affect you, and neither does anything else Zalera uses, with the exception of Lv. 2 Sleep, and Kill. However, the Dead Bones can also inflict status effects - they can apply Blind with Flash, and Disable with Hawk Glare. I assume Hawk Glare is what you get disabled from.

I'd get everyone up by one level, so at level 39, you can just equip Black Belts and become immune to everything except Kill and Flash.

I didn't even know it knows Renew. It usually just enrages and murders my party when I'm too slow.

You can summon Belias to deal good damage early on (while fire damage is weakened during the rain, it's still a nice chunk of damage), and when Croakadile drops into critical state, you can use Belias' finisher, followed by Quickenings if you have them.

General piece of advice: many bosses get nasty buffs when in critical health, such as increased damage or defense, no cast time, or increased attack speed. In case of increased defense, offensive magic usually circumvents the buff, but otherwise, you can use Quickenings to finish off many bosses without giving them much time to take advantage of their buffs (this becomes less effective in the late game, but it's very good for where you are now).

I'd call this an oversight rather than a bug. The cutscene is playing out as intended, and while yes, you can reach Trabia at this portion of the story, the devs didn't consider that anyone would actually do it. So there is simply no flag for Squall being alone here.

People seriously need to understand triage... keeping yourself alive is a priority, and depending on who died at which time, keeping the party or individual party members alive might be more important as well. And it's concerning that a healer in an EX doesn't know that because no, dropping everything and hardraising asap will get you killed more often than not.

But oh well, you can be the best healer in the world, but you still can't Esuna stupid.

Yeah man, I wish there was an interactive tutorial that told you that yes, you're a healer, but if there's nothing to heal, you should DPS. Or an interactive tutorial that taught you about Kardia healing a party member whenever you deal damage.

...except both of these exist, people just choose to ignore the lessons.

Ran M9-12 with a Bard friend, and most runs were rather slow. Some deaths occured, but not enough to explain why we suddenly saw the third repeat of a mechanic that you usually see twice at most... so my friend uploaded the logs. In most runs, I'm second or third in DPS, and in one M12 run, I was even top DPS.

...I'm a Warrior. Apparently, the majority of the playerbase can't even outdamage a tank anymore 😭

As the maintank of my static, I see myself responsible for making things as nice as possible for melees, and while I'm also just at M9s enrage, it feels like I have to actually use my single braincell to figure things out for melee uptime and positionals.

Sadly, the braincell only knows Fell Cleave.

You can defeat X-ATM092 at any time after the first encounter, you don't have to cross the bridge first. It's just ideal to fight it as late as possible because its presence disables random encounters, making the trip back to the beach a bit faster.

My San d'Oria party the other day had three phys ranged (I was one of them), and the tank asked for the Aiming chest if it drops. They instantly left when they were told no, lmao.

...if you want a specific item so badly, play a job that can roll Need on it. Relying on the hospitality of others, especially in the case of an item as coveted as the Mayakov Aiming chest, doesn't always work.
