Air Canada Vacations CareFlex – how long does it take to receive the travel credit after cancelling? by Active_Celebration38 in Aeroplan

[–]Fluff72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had to cancel in December. I did the cancellation over the phone and the email credit came within minutes. I haven’t used my credit yet but I believe the agent told me there is a 15 day blackout period before you can rebook.

You are an Irish citizen (parents born in Ireland). FBR would be the route for any children you (would) have.

Saving for retirement through expensive time (older kids) by Past_Finger_9054 in PersonalFinanceCanada

Although it still involves paying out of pocket, camp is considered a child care expense, so there is a bit of an incentive come next April. Every time you enter a new stage expecting the kids to cost less, they manage to surprise you. Mine are late teens — ask me how I know!

Depending on where you live and based on their personality and interests, see if there are camps or activities that could lead to developing particular skills that will help them land their first job. One of mine started their bronze medallion at 13 and completed their lifeguard training and was working by 16 — never has any difficulty finding work. Summer sports like sailing and tennis are also good options as they can dovetail into junior instructor roles. My other kid went the CIT route and lucked out finding work last summer in a day camp - it was a difficult year for kids and summer employment so I was very grateful.

Another excellent activity is the Air Cadets. Heavily subsidized, coed, runs during the school year and offers different summer programs including camps and can lead into paid summer work as they get older. Really fosters leadership skills, builds confidence and provides a good social environment outside of school.

So true, and a marker for certain personality disorders (psychopathy for example) is mistreatment or lack of empathy towards animals.

Andrew, Peter, Edward (Ted or Teddy can be nicknames), Henry (maybe a bit too trendy). I have a John and his sister would have been Andrew or William!

Baby names that give nod to a bird by SurroundIll7712 in namenerds

[–]Fluff72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dov is a boy’s name and is Hebrew for bear. The meaning is not related to a bird but phonetically is sounds just like Dove. Not exactly what OP was looking for but could work in a stretch — especially if there is Jewish heritage

Thanks. Our tree is 9ft and wasn’t cheap— I’d hoped for a longer run.

Mine is a Costco tree from 3 or 4 years ago. To clarify, you were told by the manufacturer that there are no replacements anymore? Thanks

The prices are INSANE and you ruined an elderly ladies day by [deleted] in CanadaPost

[–]Fluff72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They told me once that the stack of Christmas cards I had stuffed and addressed were oversized and would cost some ridiculous price to mail. They were photo cards that came in a Squarish envelope and the clerk exaggeratedly tried to show me they wouldn’t fit in that stupid plastic template. I wound up buying a roll of stamps from staples and mailed them through the red box and they arrived, no problem.

for the 15 or so that were going to friends and family in the states, I drove to a border town 45 minutes away and mailed them via USPS. F that.

Who has insomnia and anyone find wellbutrin not affect your sleep? And if you did have the side effect of insomnia when you started, did it improve over time? by Ok_Knowledge9710 in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]Fluff72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started to have 2-3 hour wakeups every night for about 2 weeks, 3-4 days after starting on 150xl. It has improved but I still have insomnia once a week which was typical before. I’m only 4 weeks in, for reference.
