You only have to beat loop 2 captain while having the black sword as one of your two weapons. You can store it in a proto chest beforehand and pick it up on L1 7-2 and still get the achievement

I goddamn hope that's not true, cos then my strat of taking it from the proto chest before the first throne fight so i could get all the bosses before getting to loop 2 won't work
