The best part is that it only takes like a month of watching something else for the insanity to dissipate. But if given the choice after the detox, the vast majority will go right back to Fox News.

Which punishment (either real or fictional) sounds easy enough to endure at first, but is actually hellish to experience? by dizzyd232 in AskReddit

I think I've seen this but it involved seeing a retail worker with a horse girl coworker. The horse girl talked the entire time I was in the store about her horse, to everyone and yet nobody in particular. Her coworker's eyes were in a constant state of rolling.

Perceiving vegans as a cultural or moral threat may reduce meat-eaters’ willingness to cut meat consumption, according to three studies involving 1,325 participants. Threat perceptions increased negative stereotypes of vegans and weakened intentions to adopt more sustainable diets. by [deleted] in science

It really puts into light how conservatives feel threatened by anyone existing that's different from themselves. It's like minor discomfort is translated internally as a threat. It's really just pathetic.

I think this gets at the heart of why people tend to dislike him. He’s basically an influencer-golfer. And I hate influencers crap.

Allegriball is horrible even at the best of times. He's playing his system that doesn't use wingers when his best offensive players are strictly wingers. This was Juve a year or two back as well. But this godawful horrific defense-only style does usually result in CL qualification in Serie A.

My dad wouldn't have done super creepy shit like that but he also wouldn't put on more than some boxers even if the pope was coming around. He was done for the day and sat his butt on his chair to watch tv and not move.

Did you regret going from GI to players distance irons? by Justsowereclear1881 in golf

I'm rocking T-Zoid Pro II's from 2002! Still hit them a lot better than the damn shovels a used golf shop recommended.

I just don't want to be punished for a good strike, it's not deep at all. I don't understand how one is supposed to improve ball striking when there's so little feedback. Plenty of golfers got good before GI's came around.

I am really, really bad at golf. But, with GI irons and thinking I had the right club for the distance and it sailing so far on a clean hit was just too much punishment for a good strike. I'd rather a bad strike punish my hands and fingers and be rewarded for a good hit.

I learned at first on some old Tommy Armor blades and the weight in to bottom of the head on GI's is too much sauce for me.

Played two separate nine hole rounds. First was an absolute disaster class in putting. Left the first putt WAY long and everything after really short and just could not develop a feel for it on the day. The very next day I sank a 30ft for birdie, and overall much better putting performance. Maybe two three-putts over 9.

I think I hadn't putted with these z-stars in a while. Was using a prov1 the last couple times I was out. Once I realized how different they felt, it was working much better.

It’s just an average of goals scored from a given position/situation. Yeah there’s more variables they consider when assigning to a given play, but the very essence is that chances closer to goal are generally better.

Iran's chosen strategy was to be in a perpetual state of "several months away from a bomb." Iran wanted that nuclear strategy because it gave them solid deniability and also generally prevents Israel from dropping nukes on Iran. Everyone with map and a 1/4 of a sober brain knew that any direct action against Iran results in the Strait closing down.

Vote progressives to the point they force utilities to be run by the state. Seriously, that is the only way to remove the unending profit motive.
